All the whining about the pricing for this event is kinda irrelevant, if you don't think its worth it then don't buy it.

Not to mention it's a hell lot cheaper if you just buy the whole Spring bundle.

His highest winrate ever was vs Protoss.

Explain that by saying Protoss was imbalanced.

edit: but yes, especially against Rain he won through abusing Warp Gate and Forcefield. He played to his race's strengths - how does that delegitimise his wins?

He 4 gated every single PvP back in the day -_-

????

So did literally everyone else. And he still won 90+% of the time. He just did it better. 4 gate imbalance or not, he was the better player.

That's fine, they don't expect everyone can afford to watch it.
They aren't making Pacquiao fights cheaper only because each of his fights in his home country is a national holiday and more than half the country is in poverty, almost everyone still watches.
The more expensive the PPV (as long as enough buy them, not everyone), improve the quality of players, enriching all of eSports. Making cheaper just so that more could buy them is not a viable business option, but it won't stop people from complaining.

True story..... we have to thank MC for providing us such "entertaining" games..... and yet he has so many fans.... what??

He was the only Protoss who actually won tournaments, and is still one of the few.

Yeah I had this issue last time around and never heard back from your support when someone said the same in the LR thread. Fixed it then by logging out and back in again on twitch (someone in the LR thread suggested that to me), but no dice this time.

Seriously MLG, if this is your 'support', I'm not very hopeful.

And now I got an automated response email. Some quality stuff really.

'clear your cookies/cache, use firefox, log out and back in on twitch/mlg'. All done done and done, still I get paywalled as a paying customer. My frustration with MLG's bullshit support is reaching new heights.

the 20 dollars is quite a harsh price.. but the 30 dollar spring season pass is quite decent considering the content you get (3 events and 1 qualifier).

really 2 events and 1 qualifier considering the spring championship is supposed to be free...

but HD for the championship event isn't free.

How is this even possible for a pro player? That is such a large amount of resources tied up in a queue. There is no doubt Goody is still a good player, but it seems that he should really be on top of that kind of stuff.

The day someone figures out how goody and finnish protosses win is the day the world collapses in on itself.

Never heard of Goody........did you guys mean Ogogo?
SC2 was doomed from the start.

Its funny how they charge 20 bucks and give only 10k for the winner. Even smaller tournaments that don`t charge anything pays the same amount or even higher numbers.

What a joke, MLG. Such a greedy company that don`t even care about the prize money to the participants.

Pick your poison.

I believe in the foreigners here. HuK and Socke are my two "upset watch" foreigners (altho, Socke has been playing just so insanely well for months now that it's hardly an upset. Winter Championship and Dreamhack Stockholme being especially good runs).

And Grubby is getting to that threshold of awesomeness too I think.
I root for Euro Zergs, NA Protoss* and Korean Terrans. (Any North American who has beat a Korean Pro as Protoss counts as NA Toss)

actually hes still the only protoss to win a tournament in 2012. So only would still pretty much apply.

I love Bugattis but no one is making them cheaper so I can get a new one every year.

I don't understand the caster choice of MLG
Isn't this a clear favoritism for British Casters such as Apollo and Totalbiscuit over North American casters such as Day9? I mean, MLGs are mostly hosted at United States, why does organization such as MLG hand over casting jobs to Europeans? What do North American casters lack that Europeans have? I, for one, does not like Apollo's obvious hype on European players such as Throzain and Stephano. It's also a cliche saying when Totalbiscuit repeatedly uses that phrase "Korean player X takes a page out of European player Y's book." Really? Isn't that a typical European arrogance? Great event and great players, but the casting choice is a joke.

User was warned for this post

who cares if theyre bias, apollo is definitely one of the better casters around

BUT THEY ARE TAKING AMERICAN JOBS!!! l.o.l.

And women, too!

Any idea how much it costs to fly in 32 players and pay for their hotels? The smaller tournaments you mention do none of that and that's exactly why you see so many more high caliber players here, there's no financial investment for the team or player to go.
Such flammable little insects!
