It's funny how everyone trashed the guy who reported Destiny for racial slurs because he 1 base all-in'd him, but when it's MVP he is a total genius, the best player of the planet, and Naniwa played like a retard because he's a total noob.
I find it really funny

I'm pretty sure he cheesed cause he was fighting Nani specifically. I don't know if that's really disgraceful... in fact I'd call it intelligent.

To be fair, MVP has been all-inning, cheesing most of his TvPs since day1. And i believe he will continue to do so.
He just doesn't seem to like playing for the late game in that match-up.

MVP went 3 macro games against Hero in the round of 16, 2 macro games against Puzzle in the round of 32. Making up random bullshit is being fair nowadays?

Also I like that MVP was able to stomp so hard even after being quite sick in China a few days earlier, losing to Moon in that tournament.

That's damn true.

So MvP plays for money only, doesn't care for his audience and doesn't shun from lies and tricks. Kk, basically right person to be fan of

Yeah, Hero's PVP is frankly really bad right now. It's not even his micro, builds or mechanics. He just doesn't have the game sense in such a risk based matchup to punish or get away with risks.

I think you're right. I really like Hero and his style, but he just doesn't seem to understand PvP. That said, I also think he's a pretty smart player - he pulls some amazing ad lib moves sometimes, so I think he's definitely capable of improving his play in the matchup.

The ragestorm on MVP is quite amusing.

Thank you, biased Naniwa / everyforeigner fan, you really made my day.

Sure, MVP cheesed, but has he wisely said : risky play has to be punished. Naniwa is known for being super greedy. 1+1 = 2 guys, don't be mad.

And seriously, late game PvT is so broken that I can understand why any terran would cheese his way to victory.

Blame the maps, blame the current PvT late game, blame Naniwa gameplay. Don't blame MVP who played smart just because you're a fanboy. And, please, stop with this "we have to cheer for every foreigner" crap.

And no, i'm not particularly fan of MVP.

I don't know what to say to this, other than maybe (re?)watch some of MVP's games before his wrist injury. His macro Terran was off the hook.
Also read the interview after today's games (storywriter's translation is in the general forums), he specifically cheesed Naniwa because he studied him and found his early game too risky/greedy. If Nani wants to be successful in Korea, he needs to mix it up, play super safe for a while, then go back to being occasionally greedy. He's just too predictable right now.

It's hard for me to be a fan of Naniwa because of his BM and he he doesn't seem like he's very nice durring his interviews.

I was surprised Oz made it to the round of 8. His games weren't the best in the round of 16.

MVP and Parting were my picks to make it out. Great job guys. Well won.

I still think foreigner loosing in GSL type format because of the lack of coaches helping you, just imagine having someone focusing on analyzing your enemy for each week, the edge that foreigners are still lacking in comparison to Koreans.

I fucking love MVP and this round shows why he is still a danger to anyone. The guy just plays to win and is very good at playing to his opponents weakness.

Right now TvP lategame is a nightmare and a good Protoss will usually win if he gets to lategame on even footing. Terran wins most games early and mid-game, so why not make damn sure the entire game takes place at a moment when you are favored?

Plus Naniwa is known to tilt and tends to crumble when the game doesn't go the way he wants. He is pretty much like Idra in that regard. Really good when it goes to plan, vulnerable when it doesn't. Just look at the MLG finals against Leenock. Leenock just did the same cheesy build several times in a row and Naniwa just fell apart mentally. MVP clearly did his homework and abused this to the fullest.

Very curious what he has in store for parting :D

I don't care! Better player won, that's it!

Hope he will crush Parting, too.

Wow looks like Oz got stomped. Was it as one-sided as the results show?

Did Naniwa get rolled? Were the games close? I know he was practicing his heart out; was MVP just playing like his old self again?
