I allready shelved out money for a full year of GSL and GSTL..other leagues asking money is too much for me. You have GSL and GSTL access all year and you want to ditch SC2 because a 3 day tournament isn't being streamed for free? Well ofcourse I will watch GSL and GSTL and thats because I think its the best league in world. Plus the lack of non koreans at this tournament makes think "why would I want to see this if I can watch exactly the same koreans in the GSL". Maybe if Stephano was there, Naniwa and Idra I would have thought about it. I will watch free streams when its interesting, other then GSL. You want to ditch watching SC2 because there's no free stream to something you don't really want to watch anyway.
O.k maybe ditching was the wrong word? I will keep watching GSL and GSTL and free streams of other tournaments if its worth to watch. But in general my will to watch and pay money for other tournaments had gone down alot. I decided to pay for IPL4 AFTER I got a taste of it and it was very cheap(5 bucks for LoL and SC2)

Poor Ganzi has to go play against Rain in NASL after his games today. Hope he's not too tired...

What level are the games? I haven't been able to watch

I'm glad to be paying 10 dollars for the weekend full of entertainment. And guess whats even better, playing the Diablo 3 beta for free!. I know how I am going to spend my weekend.
LOL i've been playing the beta since the 2nd invite. To each their own. play the beta for the weeknd to level up to a max level of 13?? have fun, That sounds like fun. My barbarian is boring play. D3 is going to flop but i still preordered it, guess it's not worth your money either too huh?? To be honest, i don't know why you're on this thread if u didn't care. if you actually own the full season of gstl and gsl... i'm pretty sure you could afford 10 more dollars. That's like saying, i bought a mercedes and don't wanna buy tires for winter. no , more like buying a BMW and not buying premium gas.

D3 is going to flop because you didn't like the first quarter of the first act? Heh.

Didn't this thread have like 50 pages before the games even started?

To me its like..I allready bought the best mercedes why would I want another one. The similarities in the players are just too much I think between this and GSL..but I allready put it well in my previous post. Read it please. I aint mad..have fun watching this MLG! Obviously you like it.

The analysis from the pro players alone makes up for the $10!

Here's what I remember of the results. I could be wrong about some.
Heart vs viOLet ??? MarineKing vs PartinG 2-1 HuK vs GanZi 2-1 DongRaeGu vs MC 0-3 MarineKing vs GanZi 2-1 Heart vs MC 2-1 DongRaeGu vs HuK 2-1 HuK vs PartinG 2-1 MarineKing vs viOLet 2-1 DongRaeGu vs viOLet 2-1 GanZi vs MC 3-0
Most of the games were pretty meh. All were pretty short and (not) sweet. Good games were anything with MKP, and DRG vs MC.
|
After checking out the results it's interesting to see no one is really dominating(MKP top though). It's too early to call anything! exciting (=

How can there be 3-0 if it is the best of 3?

MLG rules are to play all 3 games just incase of a tie-breaker.

there's not that much interest for a 8 man PPV event. if the market is oversaturated with events (like now), general interest will die down slowly (see last year's MLG columbus thread to this year's)

The format has shown to be bad. A LOT of games were thrown away and you could see people giving up (too) early when they were behind. Probably alot of careless timing attacks as well... Therefore until now almost no fun watching these, I ended up reading a book instead.
Also, I don't get why always the casters have to say stuff at the "analysis" when someone who knows better is next to them. In the end, the experts were only allowed to say 1-2 sentences and the rest of the time, useless blabla happenned.

I don't think the level of play outside MC vs DRG has been outstanding so far, but in no way does the round-robin format cause this... two players being eliminated makes it VERY important. I fucking love the format.

Don't be ridiculous.

I am not trying to look for reasons, I am just describing what happenned. If you compare GSL Matches with these, it is obvious which are taken more seriously.
