Well, Dreamhack is irrelevent really, since its not on the same time schedule as MLG, I guess you could say for people who wanna stay up all night and watch one it sucks.. but otherwise its not an issue.

As for Diablo 3, unless you wanna play the same starting area over and over again but with a different class, you only spend 2-3 hours at most on it, which you can just do during breaks of X event.

And as for the other sports well.. Its not even the same thing, its kinda like saying x comedy show collides with MLG, as not everyone is interested in the same things, but MLG and Dreamhack is both SC2.

No its not, both UFC and football (soccer) are mainly aimed at young males, same demographic that a esport event has.

That is irrelevant, it is one of the most anticipated games of all time, its a Blizzard game, and just cause you "beat the beta" does not mean people dont want to try other characters.

And Dreamhack is not irrelevant either, there is something called fatigue, after hours of watching that most people will have had enough.

Nobody said everyone is interested in the same things, but its clear that interests can overlap, football, UFC and Diablo 3 are all discussed alot on TeamLiquid, so clearly there is overlap

I did interpret it right bud.

My bad, you did interpret it correctly, the statement however means very little and is still not relevant because the episode of the Executives was made about 2 months after, making your source outdated like I stated before even having read it.

Simple fact is either IPL and Dreamhack are just far better at doing their job or Sundance has been lying to you for more money (and that is after already having begged the community for Gold passes before, and then shafting them with these arena events), add to that the guys childish behavior on Live on Three and I find it hard to still take him seriously.

And all 3 Terrans in top 4 spots, and Dreamhack had TvT finals. This weekend was another Terran victory lap. Honestly not upset that I missed out on it. It's starting to bore me.
