And before you pull the foreigners card, maybe you should watch baseball if all you want to see is your home team winning, I watch SC2 because I love watching high level games. It's basically a series of showmatches played out to determine seeding. It struggles to define itself as a real tournament because let's be honest, what is really at stake besides money? Actually the top 4 are guaranteed to be in Anaheim pools along with fully paid trips to Anaheim and Arena 2. There is a lot at stake beyond prize money. The bottom 4 has to play in the online Invitational to get back into Arena 2.
I don't know if you're allowed to answer this, but does the whole MLG team get really nervous about turnout (stream numbers etc) every event? I know if I was involved in something this awesome and, well, risky, I definitely would be.

This is a qualifier being hyped up as a tournament when a tournament should be mostly self-contained on its own merits.

My mistake. It still doesn't solve the problem of overblown hype compared to the relative important of this tournament, which is actually a well-produced qualifier with a significant cash prize. Add the extremely limited pool of players and the PPV element and I can understand why some people don't care about it. It seems like an awfully complicated answer to a relatively simple problem.

That actually makes a bit of sense to me, hopefully this is something they could look into for other tournaments.

Because it determines who gets to go to Anaheim pools and who has to fight it out in the Invite-Only qualifiers? I already knew that. It's an unnecessarily complicated way to approach the problem of qualification. And MLG put it so much effort to make it big and shiny as well when it's going to be such a small tournament with no attendance.

Money is a poor measure anyway, it doesn't count for everything and they've just flat out got more prize money this year for all their events.

How do I log in at the majorleaguegaming.com/live page to view in HD? I logged in on the MLG and Twitch sites, but it still says "buy now."
