July and Leenock will only try harder now to get first in the group just to not face nani. Good games comming up!

IdrA, HuK and Jinro has made it ro8 before. But I think Naniwa is the best foreigner atm now!

Still waiting for the grudge match stephano vs Naniwa for that title

If Stephano comes down to Korea and play his way to the ro8 in code S he can have his grudge match for best foreigner title.

Although I often find protossery incredibly dull unless they go for templar before colossus I must say its frickin awesome to have a foreigner in ro8, lets hope he doesn't have to play MVP in the quarterfinals!

Very wp by Naniwa.

He did do a ceremony against Genius, just it was mostly missed by the cameras.

Artosis said it was just a shrug ceremony, so nothing extreme, and probably having to do with Genius picking Nani for his group, which Naniwa told him he thought was a mistake since Genius was the only person Naniwa ever beat in GSL / GSTL events until last week.
Artosis: "You need to hold my hand." Tasteless: "I'm very good at that."

Naniwa to play 2nd place of Group B being MVP, July, Leenock, HerO....my guess is Leenock but either way should be great :D

So Naniwa has Leenock, MVP, July or Hero next. Honestly, none of those are really that bad. MVP could be trouble if his wrists aren't completely fallen off, but a PvZ against Leenock/July isn't something he can't do and a PvP with Hero could go either way.

If he can stay away from Oz/Squirtle in PvP and MKP in TvP, then who knows.

My prediction for their group is Hero in 2nd place. So if it's a PvP between Hero and Naniwa Team Liquid will remain happy regardless of who makes it through.

If it's Leenock or July Naniwa should be the favourite.

MVP, as you said, will be trouble if he hasn't broken down.
Mvp - Leenock - Dongraegu - MC - Gumiho - Keen - Polt - Squirtle - Jjakji - Genius - Seed - Life - sC - Dream || LG-IM - MVP - FXO

So naniwa will now play the guy who gets in second place in group B, which consists of July, MVP, Leenock and Hero.

I dont know about you guys, but im feeling a ro4 here, when we swedes go GSL we go ro4 aight?

July is probably the easiest for Naniwa, followed by MVP and Leenock but I'll never count players of their caliber out. Naniwa probably has the edge in a PvP with Hero as well but it's very hard to predict.

Don't know if July is that easy for Naniwa. Naniwa could get thrown off by Julys playstyle.
But I agree, Naniwa could make RO4.

Be prepeared to wait a while. Stephano's mouth wrote a cheque his arse couldn't cash.

Would be a good match no doubt, but I feel like results speak louder than a 1v1 showmatch. First foreigner to win Code S will be the king. Stephano needs to go back to Korea before he quits sc2 to give it another shot.

another? Stephano has never played in GSL. He only went for the Blizzard cup and a month of training. I don't think he'll ever do GSL sadly...

Code A doesn't work, but Code S does congrats Naniwa. Haven't seen so many sentries and colossus in tvp in a long time now in gsl, don't see them all though. I actually liked the unit sacrifices against the drop, range was so close to finishing.
While i would be for Supernova now, I hope Genius wins now. More korean tosses increase Naniwas chances. But i guess Terrans shouldn't be a problem as well if they catch this new heavy t1 style.

Yeah. Seems to be having a 180 degree turn. From code A fail + BMer to a serious code S contender.

Now, waiting for Genius to go through!! I'm loving this guy so much (and of course I'd love seing every terran but MVP/MKP getting out of this GSL)

Quit yer damn whining, Virus was way behind earlier after losing all that stuff at his nat. You're freaking blind if you couldn't see that.

haters gonna hate, and alternatively, whiners gonna whine

Yeah just ignore him, he's had this bias against foreigners from aeons ago, don't understand why though, ignore his comments and the world will b a happier place
