The TvT games were alright but everything else has been pretty boring/bad so far.

He said 'in forever'. And it does feel like a long time since we had any kind of good foreigner showing the GSL.
If you want to debate what 'in forever' means, go ahead, but clearly he knows about previous Ro8s.

His point was obviously that those Ro8 runs were a long time ago...

Read his post again. "first foreigner In forever" is not "first foreigner ever".

If he can stay away from Oz/Squirtle in PvP and MKP in TvP, then who knows. Don't forget Taeja in TvP. He may hate it, but he's still damn good at it.

Now let's see if Genius has still got it or not.

Pretty interesting stat

Congrats, Naniwa! Love to see such a hardcore devoted player dominate. He has the potential to continue against almost anyone.

"in forever", names people who made it a year ago, a year ago, half a year ago. Cool story bro.

Still.. level of play is way better now than it was when those were in Code S. At that time the level of the Koreans wasn't far away from the foreigners, but after all this time, where we have had a chance of really seeing the difference in skill because of the training methods and dedication of the koreans, I would say this accomplishment is bigger than any of the 3 you just mentioned there.

Could it be that Genius chose Naniwa to help him get through? If Genius can get out of this group I'd seriously consider that reason.
Genius is really good PvP, Naniwa is a foreigner, and he probably wanted revenge for losing to him in the GSTL. Also I don't think Naniwa/MvP have the best relationship after he basically said they barely practice, don't work as hard, etc.

Even if he loses in the next round, he already made his seed worthy.
