This is a tournament not ladder. MKP IS doing serious builds that he's practiced and has had success with otherwise he wouldn't risk it with so much money, respect, and reputation on the line.

If you think MKP was serious with that build you clearly dont know anything about starcraft


I know a lot more then you do and I'd be willing to put money on that. People said the same thing about Flashes style. Look where he's at now.

A very bold statement. SC2 is a game of hard counters and BW is not. IN sc2 you cant mass units that are weak against its hard counter. In this case 1-1 marines vs 3-3 collosus. Getting a factory at 20 minutes will never be viable.

It's like people calling Stephano the best player in the world. Yeah, he's ripping up foreign tournaments, but in a format like the GSL would he be as successful? I don't know.

Stephano wasn't playing the absolute best players in the world though.

Polt's great and all but I'd hesitate to put him top 10 in the world. MKP was ripping through MC and DRG like it was nothing.


I realize, but it's not just the best players but the fomat itself which is so important for it's prestige.

MKP is known to pull off bullshit builds against foreigners he consider to be trash

First of all, he didn't now it was a 3base 3 robo collosi build. If he did, he would NEVER have done that build no matter what because it is an auto-lose army composition. It's like building only reapers against 3 base mass stalkers.


LOL 1/1 bio gets wrecked against any decent Protoss composition with AOE. So I guess MKP was anticipating a Adelscott-esque mass gateway push with upgrades out of White-Ra?


Only Collosi. Not even PartinG would be able to land a storm against MKP with 25 ghosts.

Any unit composition would have hurt MKP badly since he stopped at 1/1 for the rest of the game. His build was essentially structured like a timing push, but he never attacked.

I guess it would be less offensive for fanboys alike haters to call him the player with the current highest form.

No one else can compete with MMA for best player until MMA falls out of at least two tournaments against people he shouldnt or someone else wins this GSL and a couple of foreign tourneys. MKP has the foreign ones but if he can't at least come close to GSL champ there is no way he is best atm. At worst for MMA he is one of a group of best players and at best he is the sole best player right now. Dude needs to fix his TvP though.


MMA is by no mean the best player in the world.
