They're running a business, they're not doing us a favor by putting up VODs so quickly, it's their job and their desire to put them up as fast as possible.
1. I'm not sure about this one, but where does it say that they guarantee vods go up within hours following the end of the broadcast for ticket-buyers? Furthermore, Gom has a great track record for uploading vods extremely promptly, so it makes sense to give them some breathing room in the rare case that they don't live up to expectations.
2. I don't mean to be condescending here, but have you ever done any sort of tech support for anything? Because, quite simply, sometimes shit doesn't work and just takes a while to get fixed.
What do you not understand about it's a fucking business. I don't give a fuck about tech support because they're a business and as a business, it's their job to provide the best service possible to their customers. If they don't feel like providing good service or don't have the resources to, then it's the customers right to complain and call for improvement.
Ever heard of "the customer is always right"? If a waiter took forever to bring you your food would you give him a generous tip? No you wouldn't, unless you're the most generous/stupid person in the world.

"the customer is always right" to appease the customer, generally though if you come from a field of customer service.. they really aren't and tend to be dicks about it to boot (read: you are being a childish to really care that much about VODs being a little bit late for once)

It says right on the videos page. "VODs are uploaded within 8 hours after LIVE." I'm pretty sure we are the only ones who have to pay for vods. Korean and Chinese viewers don't have to pay as far as I know. We should at least get quality service for our payment.
It would not have been hard to state something along the lines of "Sorry for the delay, we are having technical issues. Vods will be uploaded as soon as possible." or something like that its just common courtesy to your customers.

I actually don't mind that the VODs are late. So no, I'm not being childish. I just find it ridiculous that someone is stupid enough to believe that it's excusable for a BUSINESS to lack in acceptable service just because they've provided good service in the past.
I guarantee you 100% that GOM and other business would agree completely with me. We pay them good money so we can get the best service they can provide. If they fail to do so, then they're not worth our money.

Yeah Koreans probably would not be big fans of it when they could watch broodwar for free. GOM has been interesting in getting non-koreans to pay for content since before sc2. It started with the broodwar tournament with non-koreans costing money.
They originally tried to charge more to watch GSL. People thought it was too high, so they lowered their price. It is a pretty good deal and you get a lot of content for a few bucks, so I purchased. However, GOM's success in getting people to pay set a precedent and is why NASL and MLG now try to charge.
Anyway, I'm getting off topic here. I just want to see Taeja in his Liquid debut !!!

i think NASL and MLG started charging becuase they figured that "hey waitasecond, what we do costs money, we should try and make some"
The Chinese commentary isn't terrible, but it is certainly interesting for someone used to listening to Western casters. At one point in the Taeja-DRG game 2, they even make a reference to one of Chairman Mao's sayings as a way to discuss strategy. Quite interesting
While i'm not going to rage like some other people GOM should have the vods up by now, if you go to the 2012 GSL Season 2 VOD section it says VODs are uploaded within 8 hours after live. I had to go to bed after the first game of DRG vs TaeJa but at that time it was around 5:00 am PST and say it took 2 hours to wrap up the rest of DRG/TaeJa and TaeJa/Jjakji, that would still mean its been 10 hours and no vods have been uploaded. Not a big deal but they should be uploaded.

-_- are you stupid? ofc gom makes freaking money. Why else would they fucking do what they do? You really think all the staff over at GOM are eating ketchup sandwiches so they can bring us the GSL? No, they're making money
