Terran throne still hotly contested. I know I might be in the minority here, but beating a player when he's sick doesn't really mean much IMO. Until I hear about the extent of MMA's condition, I'm gonna put this series as a big question mark pending judgment. If MMA just had a bit of a cough then damn, Alive is good. If MMA had a high fever/bad cold or something, then meh, bad luck for MMA, but his loss doesn't really say much to me besides that Alive beat a badly sick MMA. and to add on to it, this flu that's going around here in this country is no fucking joke. it's not just a common cold. i had to take two days off from work because i couldn't get out of bed (and now my co-worker got it and he had to take today off). i just knew MMA would lose. there is no way anyone could play well in that condition.
The terran throne is not contested. There is only one MVP and he is, er.. MVP.

I really wanted to see DRG vs MMA though :| PartinG's PvZ isn't really that good. DRG will roll over him. The only PvZ of his I've seen was in the KR MLG qualifiers, and I doubt he was showing much considering he was playing for a seed and has DRG in Code S. Not to mention he's said in interviews he feels his PvZ is his best match up. Or rather, he's most confident in it (I think, correct me if I'm wrong). He lost 2-3 to Monster, and I think DRG's ZvP is much better than Monster's.
Also,DRG all-killed Startale not too long ago at the KSL that include Parting.

Not to mention it probably means that they wouldn't be able to prepare much BEFORE the match. That was an extremely short TvT, and MMA's builds definitely seems not his usual innovative/ well planned out builds.

Gumiho is what happens when you fuse July and Leenock.

Puzzle should have this, Leenock's zvp isn't the greatest

How do you market an Alive vs. Gumiho finals? Terran Leenock vs another Jjakji unknown. aka.... best GSL finals ever Leenock was coming off his Providence championship, though. Could always throw in some more Alive drama to hype the finals You could market it as the first member of a foreign team in the finals. aLive started out teamless, joined a foreign team, and now has reached the ro4. I guess that's one way to take it

I think unknown players in the final is so much better, because you KNOW they will spend every minute of the week preparing for it. Where as for someone like MMA/Mvp, they might be burnt out and prepare like they would for any other match.

I had this feeling that aLive would have a shot in TvT vs MMA, but man, 3-1 convincingly?
MMA was surely not top shape.

I'm as big an MMA fan as you'll find, but he was genuinely outsmarted there. I wouldn't say outplayed because Alive's micro looked worse at every stage, but the build orders from Alive were consistently better, and that's a big part of the game. Hell, it's why MMA clowned MVP not too long ago. But I don't think it means much in the big picture unless Alive actually wins the tournament.
Well in the end long-therm strategy wins over real-time strategy.
