the fact that many people don't count sen as a foreigner is completely beyond me.

so what if taiwan/korea is the same server? it's completely different.

a lot of north americans and europeans play on the korean server btw. huk, naniwa, and even destiny, sase, etc etc. they are counted as foreigners still.

Well Seed didn't disappoint, perhaps IM is finally getting the protoss force it desperately needs. He just ate monster for breakfast.

Too bad he's going up against Boxer next round :/

Monster is such a bad player - I don't understand why he just keeps attacking into his opponent's defensive position - why not get the zerg deathball of roach/infestor/BLs (and some corrupters vs the mothership)? Seems like many zergs just rely on mutas and don't know how to play.

Of this caliber? You mean players who actually managed to make it through the qualifiers and didn't get a free spot like Idra and Huk? Stop being such a blatent fanboy it's really annoying.

I'm sorry but comments like this are very boring. This "free spot" you're referring to changes nothing, both Idra and Huk have consistently proved that they can compete on an even footing with top tier Koreans at MLG and other events.

So has HerO, PuMa and a range of other foreigners, but that doesn't mean they belong in Code S.

I don't know if you were watching, but this was Code A friend. You're essentially shitting all over their achievements because of the way they were invited to Code S. They have proved their capabilities time and time again but people constantly fall into the same old cycle of insulting them for not "earning spots" via code B. As for current results and the whole undeserved argument, everybody has slumps. (See: Nestea). I would go on but it will fall on deaf ears, because apparently hating foreigners is in vogue.

Uhhh,i do agreed with you but did Nestea go through a slump? From what i know, he is the ONLY player that never drop down to Code A.Losing 1 or 2 games does not mean slumping.MVP or MC would have been a better example.Just saying.

Nestea dropped down to Code A last season during the ro16

then went to Code S right after that

That's a lot of 2-0s tonight. Code A feels like a bunch of players jockeying for up/downs beating the tar out of B-teamers that are trying to gain recognition and possibly don't even have a paycheck.

Technically, he was in the Up and Down matches and won them.So he wasn't "Code A" but still Code S at that time.

Sen is a foreigner...Don't get your knickers in a knot, they're just being antagonistic and want to propagate the stupid foreigners can't succeed trope over and over again.

Sen is only a foreigner when he loses apparently.

haha if overseers get killed by feedback, you did something wrong when fighting a mothership. would have liked a neural when the toss army was retreating a bit. Ultra toilet is way better then archon toilet. But good to see a toss advance.

Nope, he didn't go down to Up and Down. He won 1 game in Ro24 and got right back. But the point still stands that he was still at code S at the end of the season which is what counts. Otherwise, only the Top 8 would be considered staying in code S which doesn't really make sense.

huk didnt get a free spot, he was in code S for a while.

Huk actually got seeded into Code A last march. I think this is fair in the GSL because adding a few foreigners helps broadening the scene. But remember usually skips qualifiers even in the foreign scene, both him and Idra also being seeded into most of the foreign tournaments they play in. With that in mind their overall record is much less impressive.

so many differences between the two EG players

huk did not get a free spot

he came to korea and went from code A to up and down, kicked some players
and managed to stay in code S beating MMA 2-0 the next season, and going to the final tree loosing to Mc or MVP...
he went to code A after loosing leenock.
really a code S player when he play correctly, and won dreamhack and MLG orlando.

idra on the other hand won nothing during the last 12 month except an empty iem. he is overrated cause best american player.
many US people WANT to see him cause he use to be a top 5 world zerg.
he is now a top US player and that's it
i hope he will be back to the top but he did not deserve a code S spot at all but for now he is boring me and he really play so bad making the match where he play in gsl the one when i go eat and turn off the stream

Seed played very well, good to see him finally do well in code a. Given the sick lineup today had the games where kinda disappointing, but seed finished the day with some really nice protoss play.
