Also, why did IdrA and HuK not play? At first I figured that it probably had to do with the fact that they were in Korea, but JYP and PuMa managed to play, so I'm confused. If EG fields JYP, PuMa, IdrA, and HuK they'll be one of the scariest teams, but after those four the skill on their team really drops off. Demu is a fantastic player, but he still isn't at the caliber of the other EG players and I don't think that he would be nearly as consistent against the all-star line-ups that he'd have to face in this league.

Yes. Your teammate is good, top-tier foreign Terran, but honestly not Code S level. His win over MKP was a huge achievement, but still an upset. For the sake of the foreign scene, it would be nice if he could be playing evenly against players like MVP or MMA, but reality argues otherwise (at least for now). Still, Kas might face MMA at IEM this weekend, and Empire will face many Korean teams in the IPL TAC2.

Congrats on your win today and best of luck to you and your teammates in upcoming events. I stand by my belief that Kas is not (yet) GSL level, however, unless he can show he can consistently beat top-tier Koreans.


Im not saying he would win GSL and IPL wont show anything because Empire has more delay on NA server than any KR team playing on it, at LAN's Kas won Koreans lately and thats being discussed.

I dunno, Demu has consistently destroyed good opposition before - I would definitely consider him more consistent than IdrA. I'm thinking last season of NASL where his only loss in season play was the walk over against hero. And that was over Sheth, White-Ra, Lowely, ect. A bit longer ago was his MLG Raleigh run over Trickster and Ret. I think he is up there with IdrA and HuK in the top foreign tier of EG.

Yes, Kas has beaten top Koreans, both online and at LANs. I agree with you there and I believe that Kas is one of the foreign scene's best Terrans. Where I believe that you and I differ is whether or not Kas can beat Koreans consistently. Maybe he can, but there has not been enough games for us to know for certain.

After reading this thread and seeing him perform at IEM and tonight, however, I am curious about how well Kas would play in a tournament like the GSL. I do not think that he will be very successful, but I hope to be proven wrong. I would personally love to see Kas receive a GSL seed for the next season and play in the GSL.

Now that's a statement that I can get behind. Kas and Thorzain are the two Terran powerhouses of the foreign scene. If only Kas could get an opportunity to compete in the GSL to show everyone how good he really is...

Agreed, there was really no reason for HuK and Idra not to play. What's the point of having them if you're never going to use them? GSL is nice but if other players can manage multiple tournaments/slash leagues why can't they?

Its not that they can't manage it its both of them HATE latency with a passion. Both of them have expressed no interest in playing when there is latency.

I think this is a statement we can all stand behind, i will not go into code S caliber nonsense for we can only speculate.
Kas is a monster, i only hope he considers of going to korea for a while just to see if he can improve his game even more.

Totally forgot to congratulate Empire ! Grats guys well deserved win, i will look at the games later.
It does my heart good to see a all foreign team beat a foreign/korean team. You can buy talent, or you can train your own.

Ofcourse is not true but his perfomance l8tly is so impressive 2-0 MKP at wcg and hammering everyone at IEM including Zenio that he made look like a silver player.

Kas is on beastmode atm and how fare he can take it is the quistion he has a practise monster so we will see
