He sure looked brilliant against MVP at WCG. Kas is good, top foreign Terran perhaps, but he not Code S level, probably not even Code A level.

u realize this was probably the stupidest comment ever written? you trying to rub in that kas lost to mvp? what are you trying to imply with this? you want a list about the people who lost to mvp? that's basically everyone he ever played against (few exceptions).

bitter EG fanboys are priceless. your team got its ass kicked, deal with it. trying to belittle kas' skill is pathetic.

Calm down dude, he was just pointing out that kas can beat anybody is a dumb statement

so one bo3 proves that kas can't beat anybody? i guess then every player who ever played a bo3 against anyone and didn't win proves that they can't win against that player. i'm calm but this was simply a very dumb statement. noone was saying kas is top korean level but he's proven that he can consistently take games off code S players in tvt (he took 3 games off ganzi, beat mkp 2-0, he almost beat ryung a while ago, it was really close).

not to mention that it would have been logical if he mentions a lower tier player to support his argument. if you lose to a lower league player that's showing something. if you lose to the best player in the world that's not really something to be ashamed of. MVP would've 2-0'd everyone in team EG with one hand tied behind his back.

i'm not even fan of any player. but making excuses/trying to belittle the winner's skill/etc hurts my eyes, and somehow EG fans do this more often than others.

Nice job by Happy, wasn't expecting him to beat Puma.
Empire and Mouz just seem to be one step above the rest of the foreign teams in team games.

Why not All-Kill format? It's so much more fun to watch.

I'm really sad that EG didn't bring Incontrol, Huk or Idra.

It's a nice way to distinguish yourself as a team league, because all the other big leagues already use all-kill format, so it keeps the proleague format alive and reminds the community that there still are other formats that can be used in leagues.

Also, it adds an interesting dynamic due to the way the matchups are determined with player choices being submitted beforehand, adds more mindgames and partly removes the ability to specifically prepare a player to snipe someone (if you don't get lucky or mindgame perfectly with the player choices for the maps.

Context, my friend, context. If I had just dropped this statement out of nowhere, it would have been a stupid immature thing to say. But I made this comment in response to someone saying that kas can beat anybody in the world. I just decided to give a counter example to that claim, which I felt was false.

Don't get me wrong, I believe that kas is a top foreign Terran, but not a MVP MMA level terran (yet). I also felt that empire's win was well won. This has nothing to do with supporting eg or empire, it is about responding to someone overhyping kas.

well i can understand why u wrote it, i read through the thread and someone wrote Kas is the 2nd best terran in the world which is silly obviously. but he certainly can compete with the best tvters in the world, and take games off them, he proved this imo. that said he probably wouldn't win the gsl if he went to korea for the next season.

not being on MMA's on MVP's level is a condition shared by basically everyone except MMA and MVP so i wouldn't read much into that statement but i couldn't really say a better foreigner terran right now. he even wins vs Mana and Stephano regularly who are probably the best players of their races outside of korea and beat koreans in regular fashion. i'd love to see him play against higher tier korean players more often.

Kas isn't very good. He's decent. Him beating Machine proves nothing.

If I can't use the series against MVP you can't use the one vs mkp, see how that works? Fact remains kas is one of the top foreigners, but nearly all the foreigners have flopped out of the gsl, so we can't really say what kas will do in Korea until he actually goes there

i wouldn't argue with your last statement- however you didn't really get what i'm saying it seems. my point is that losing to a great korean player is no shame. MVP is the best of the best. but it wouldn't even be a shame to lose to MKP, since he is really good too, top5 korean terran arguably.

so after this, what happens if kas beats MKP, if losing to him is no shame? that's right, it's an awesome performance. all i wanted to say that Kas lost to the undisputed best player in the world in his best mathup which is no shame, and he beat MKP which is cool. he's proven that he can play up to the level of korean terrans in tvt. MVP is MVP, i don't think any foreigner would beat him in a bo3.

so i don't really get how you derived "if losing to MVP doesn't matter than winning over MKP doesn't matter either". that's like putting an equation mark between Kas' last three series vs koreans where he beat 2 out of 3 and idra's last three where he lost to all three of them, and i no way was trying to say anything like that.

Well, I am glad that we can reach an agreement in some areas:
1. We both feel that Kas is a top foreign Terran
2. Saying that Kas is the world's 2nd best Terran is vast overhyping of his abilities
3. It was be awesome of Kas played in the GSL next season.

Ahh you misunderstand. I was originally responding to a guy who claimed kas could bet anybody in the world which is why I talked about the MVP series. And my point with mkp is just because kas beat him once, says only that kas is capable of competing with Koreans, not that he is necessarily better/ as good as them. hmm yea right i understood that guy as "kas can take games off anyone" which i feel is true, but ofc he couldn't beat everyone consistently. agree with everything

only thing i'd like to add that while i don't consider myself a fan i like kas ever since he destroyed Nada in tsl3 (lag or no lag), and i feel satisfied when he shows his skills by beating korean players, and i hate it when someone tries to belittle those achievements, cuz we're still in a state of skill levels where in most foreigner tourneys the invited koreans wins, so i feel like our "heroes" like gatored, stephano, kas etc don't really get the recognition they need.

bitter EG fanboys are priceless. your team got its ass kicked, deal with it. trying to belittle kas' skill is pathetic.

Sorry it's hard to articulate when typing from a phone

hmm yea right i understood that guy as "kas can take games off anyone" which i feel is true, but ofc he couldn't beat everyone consistently. agree with everything

only thing i'd like to add that while i don't consider myself a fan i like kas ever since he destroyed Nada in tsl3 (lag or no lag), and i feel satisfied when he shows his skills by beating korean players, and i hate it when someone tries to belittle those achievements, cuz we're still in a state of skill levels where in most foreigner tourneys the invited koreans wins, so i feel like our "heroes" like gatored, stephano, kas etc don't really get the recognition they need.

Hmm I agree with you except that you listed Stephano under unappreciated Players. Literally like a good fifteen percent of TL thinks the kid is the best player in the world.
Not just best foreigner but best in the world

Why not All-Kill format? It's so much more fun to watch.

I'm really sad that EG didn't bring Incontrol, Huk or Idra.

Why is incontrol in the same sentence as huk or idra?...
Why would you ever choose failure, when success is an option.
