EG is taking this seriously...
Puma, Jyp, Demusllim, Idra*... A strong line up versus Empire's terrans.

Lol... It's already over... And i was so hyped for EG lineup.

He sure looked brilliant against MVP at WCG. Kas is good, top foreign Terran perhaps, but he not Code S level, probably not even Code A level.

You do know he demolished MKP at WCG?

Also he beat Polt 3-2 a month back.

Saying Kas isn't code A level seems very off to me.
Send him to GSL. Go on, send him. Is Naniwa Code A? Is Morrow Code A? Is Haypro/ret/ any other foreigner Code A? Huk only got into Code S on a seed - and used the old system to his advantage to stay in Code S. To say any foreigner is Code S / Code A is a null statement. Korea's a hard place to compete - people prepare properly for a competition and every game is cutthroat

Just because somebody isn't in Code A doesn't mean that they're not Code A level. You can only say that if someone fails to qualify for Code A for over a year of actively trying.

Based on the level of gameplay shown, there is little difference in skill between top foreign players and less accomplished Code A players. There is a lot more that goes into it, of course, but flying in a few days before a Code A match and lack of proper preparation certainly doesn't help. But to claim that they can not play on that level is simply false, because it is very much obvious that they can.

Slightly offtopic, but is KAS streaming these days? Don't seem to catch him on lately. He has great commentary.

Huk got a Code A seed and fought his way into Code S. So saying Huk was on Code S level 2 seasons ago is true. (and I'm a Huk antifan )

u realize this was probably the stupidest comment ever written? you trying to rub in that kas lost to mvp? what are you trying to imply with this? you want a list about the people who lost to mvp? that's basically everyone he ever played against (few exceptions).

bitter EG fanboys are priceless. your team got its ass kicked, deal with it. trying to belittle kas' skill is pathetic.

Implying that Kas isn't better than Morrow, Ret and Haypro. Okay.

He rode the easiest matches possible after his free Code A spot and was promptly knocked back into Code A. No foreigner is Code A level. GSL is so much more skilled now than it was 1 year ago.

So Kas has beaten MKP and Zenio at offline tournaments and has never lost to a korean, who is not MVP. But he still isn´t What does he have to do, to make you believe, he is? His games vs Zenio (Code-S) looked as one-sided as the games from MC against Ciara at TSL3. Naniwa also has beaten guys like Nestea, MVp, DRG, MC. He should be CodeS or atleast Code-A-level as well, it just seems, that he has a mental blockade at GSL.

Wow, Empire lookin' really strong. I was pretty surprised that Puma went down, although Happy's damn good. It's too bad IdrA and HuK weren't fielded to make the series more competitive! Machine playing makes me kinda happy though ^^ He doesn't get much limelight... I'd like to see him show off some skill more often (except maybe not when EG is about to lose the series )

Congratulations to Empire!

but he can oO

hes the best foreign terran without any doubt (whoever says differently simply didnt follow sc2 in europe for a year), yes, he can take out anyone, although his chances vs code S players are obviously not high - just as for any other foreigner.

GSL is always home soil for koreans and they are more used to that
Kas absolutely destroyed zenio at kiev
maybe he wouldnt do so in the GSL studio, but still he is at least on zenios level if not above and as far as my information goes zenio is code S level

Context, my friend, context. If I had just dropped this statement out of nowhere, it would have been a stupid immature thing to say. But I made this comment in response to someone saying that kas can beat anybody in the world. I just decided to give a counter example to that claim, which I felt was false.

Don't get me wrong, I believe that kas is a top foreign Terran, but not a MVP MMA level terran (yet). I also felt that empire's win was well won. This has nothing to do with supporting eg or empire, it is about responding to someone overhyping kas.

It's the sweeping generalizations and arrogance that make statements like these so ridiculous.

Is Kas really good? Yes.
Is he one of the best Terran foreigners? Absolutely.
Is he hands down, 100%, without a doubt, can be proven, the absolute best Terran foreigner and anyone who thinks otherwise is batshit crazy?

Well, Thorzain and Jinro and DeMuslim and qxc and Fenix and a whole shitload of other Terran players are pretty damn good too. And we could argue back and forth over who's currently the best, who has more achievements (and which ones are more noteworthy), who has been doing better for longer, and plenty of other things.

But it's just plain ignorant to claim that a single Terran foreigner stands out far-and-away from the rest of the pack (to the point of ridicule), in the same way we can point to MVP's achievements and say that he's clearly the #1 player in SC2 history at the moment.
