He sure looked brilliant against MVP at WCG. Kas is good, top foreign Terran perhaps, but he not Code S level, probably not even Code A level.

Zenio is the definition of mediocre Korean player. But I haven't seen great things out of Machine lately so it will probably go the same way.

I predicted Beastyqt to smash Demuslim. Beasty on quite the tear in TvT lately.

Mediocre? He's code S until he gets knocked out in code A and he has some of the best ZvZ in the world, I'm sorry if losing to Gumiho and MMA's TvZ doesn't meet up to your standards but really?

Kas has this in the bag, 20 drone kills before the first engage lol, if he does a +1 timing it should be game

Code S by luck. I could quote myself from the IEM thread on this if you want.

Don't bother, nobody gets to code S by luck, he may not be the best there but don't sell him short. I'm far from a liquid fanboy but you can't discredit that achievement. He's in there, he deserves it.

- Beats Rex.Mujuk, an untested newcomer in Code A Ro48.
- Loses to MarineKing in Ro32.
- Goes into Up-and-Down group stage. Barely beats Losira. Beats Inca when Inca completely fails to do a competent wall-off. Beats Virus, the worst Code S terran of last season. Gets humiliated in a standard macro game by Polt.

His ZvZ is great. It's painful to watch his complete befuddlement in ZvP. Lately his ZvT has looked extremely weak as well. He's quite mediocre for a zerg who was in Code S this season.

Virus the worst Code S Terran? Did you watch Virus vs NesTea? Those games were absolutely incredible.

Did you watch his Up-and-Down games? They were vomit-worthy.

One series does not make a good player.

Sen is good but not top tier compare to most EU player and Idra is best NA player but not foreigner ( Kas beat Idra 2 time they met recently) and he also got unlucky with 2 vZ match.

That code S level/Code A level statement is really kind of irrelevant in regards to foreigners, none of them are in Code S at the moment. The ones that were in Code S had free seeds which I don't really count as being in Code S until they maintain it for a season.

Korea is a whole different ball-game in general, because some Europeans and foreigners have no interest in devoting their time to participating in the GSL we have no real gauge aside from them occasionally taking games or sets off of Code S Koreans.

kas is good, but typical of ppl on TL to hype up a player so hard after a game.

Your hero kas would get demolished in code A.

Yes. Your teammate is good, top-tier foreign Terran, but honestly not Code S level. His win over MKP was a huge achievement, but still an upset. For the sake of the foreign scene, it would be nice if he could be playing evenly against players like MVP or MMA, but reality argues otherwise (at least for now). Still, Kas might face MMA at IEM this weekend, and Empire will face many Korean teams in the IPL TAC2.

Congrats on your win today and best of luck to you and your teammates in upcoming events. I stand by my belief that Kas is not (yet) GSL level, however, unless he can show he can consistently beat top-tier Koreans.

I lol'd. Nobody is saying he plays in Code S, what that guy is saying is that he feels that if he were to play in Code S, he would lose horribly. And that if he were to play in Code A, he'd probably still lose. I feel the same. He's a high level European player, but I don't think he's freakin' awesome yet. Hope he gets to be freakin' awesome though ^^

EG definitely taking Empire lightly here thinking that PuMa and JYP would be unbeatable. BO1s are unpredictable, and if you wana win, you gotta send in all of your big guns. I personally don't like this format at all, but w/e, a tournament is a tournament. Loss doesn't mean much, but still. w/e~

This makes me so, so, so happy. Having a Team League format that is NOT the all-kill format makes StarCraft more fun to watch for me. I think that Team Leagues are more fun to watch than individual leagues regardless of the game you play, but all-kill formats often make it seem less like a team league and like it has a lot less strategy. Sure, you can snipe people in an all-kill format, but at the end of the day it generally comes down to who's (T)Final Boss is the strongest. Also, in SC2 all-kills have been too common I feel for it to really be that exciting. Reverse all-kills get me pumped, but they're so rare and take forever to the point that it's not worth it.

The Proleague format is so much more exciting because while having one undefeatable player is a great, having three really good players is even better. It rewards the teams that have a deeper line-up instead of allowing a single player to thrash the entire other team.
