Let's have a nice clean LR thread folks! Beware that moderation will probably be stricter than usual, balance whine, player bashing and trolling will not be tolerated! |

LOL.... pretty funny comment. Defending your player is what you should be doing!!!

WHY IS NO ONE talking about how Nestea beat MVP? Other than 1 bo3 at Blizzcon it's been a long while since that happened. Who cares about Idra losing games he was expected to lose, lets talk about a battle between titans.

Good to see that Nestea still has game. The best players made it through today.

(puts on flame retardant clothing) If you mean the Idra vs Lucky series, I hardly think that should be looked into all too much >.< Don't be sorry for disagreeing -.-' This is a forum, we are allowed to disagree as long as we keep it civilized :3 Whilst the first 2 games of the day were not impressive. I have not seen idra play as well as lucky did vs MvP the second time. As great as idra is and yes I do think he is one of the foreigners who actually belong in the top end of GSL, Lucky is known in Korea for being a good zerg player. With zvz being his only bad match up (thanks to the leenocktopus helping with his terran). His final games vs MvP were leenock style games. Not quite as well executed, but still, a level of play that I have not seen from any foreign zerg vs terran. Ooohhhh, I see. I only watched the first series against MvP, where he got demolished ^^ As well as the fact that Idra's ZvT is recognised among the very very top, even amongst the very best of the Koreans. The sheer number of fucking beast Koreans makes it kind of hard to notice players like Lucky that never really wins anything, or get too much exposure. Like, my perception of Lucky is based mostly on the fact that he got 4-0d by Stephano, and that he is hardly ever mentioned when someone talks about the strong Korean Zergs. I hope the series against MvP is going to change it though, as I am loading up the VODs now :D
Lucky did quiet well in IPL 3.

As much as I'd have liked to have seen Idra advance I'm still glad to see the good ol' boys advancing out of the group.

Maybe because Lucky luckily blindcountered Idras attack in G2 with a roach +1 timing, which doesn't really give an accurate depiction of eithers skill what so ever. In the 3rd game, Lucky hit a lucky timing 10 secs before Idra's hydras, because he did a weird timing. Ever other player would have done the intelligent thing, and wait for the upgrades to hit, and not attack 30 seconds before they finish -.- I don't think Lucky had any information on Idra that could've triggered that kind of response. I think he just got lucky for once XD lol. "he lost because his opponent did something STUPID that any GOOD player wouldn't have done", how Idra-esque.
This gave me flashbacks to Idra's excuses as to why he lost that showmatch vs F91
Edit: lol, found the thread: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=88342 Rekrul really went on a tear

Haha now that I re-read it it sure sounds like a classic "a good player would have..." Idra excuse. ^_^

So glad to see Nestea back on form.
|
Damn the games today were SICCKKK.
Except for Idra. He really dropped the ball overall. He looked like he belonged in Code A. Lucky meanwhile looked good, borderline Code S level.
|
Ahaha, gotta love all the Idra fans chanting 'IDRA GSL CHAMP' before the matches took place. Perhaps now it is time to deflate the hype.

Close, I believe the song is called Danger Zone, and the lyric is "Fly in to the Danger Zone" Popularized by Top Gun.

There was no information for Lucky to know attacking right then and there would be a good idea, he just did it. Upgrades are an important facet of the game, as I'm sure you know, and battles change so much regarding upgrades. When you do a +1 roach timing, you NEED to have that +1 finish. But because of what Idra was going, Lucky didn't need the +1 because he just decided to go a few seconds before Idra's hydras. There's no skill involved there at all, it just so happened.
Whether Lucky is better than Idra is a different argument that I don't feel like getting into at all, but to say people are making excuses when we're simply pointing out a random instance that had no skill involved whatsoever.

what's with all the foreigner bashing? If GOM gives them the qualification to play their tournament, why should we bother. Besides Idra vs Lucky was quite entertaining, Sen vs Boxer even more (sadly didn't catch any other games of them). Both took games of their opponents. Both have beaten Code S players in other tournaments... It's not like they were hyped to demolish everyone else in Code S and then got demolished themselves. Even more so, Lucky no gets hyped for taking a game of MVP and barely beating Idra, while Idra gets all that shit about not deserving Code S, while he took a game of Lucky himself.
|
awwww,1-4'd in a very Zerg heavy group? Karma turns out to be such a bitch
I can't wait to see just how many games will Idra manage to get off ''Code S pros'' in Code A before he drops out to Code B
