"Dear IdrA: You will prove to us once and for all whether or not you are worthy of Code S...."
Sorry this doesn't apply when you are playing the 2 best players in the world. When others are just playing players of a way lesser caliber.

Code S is Code S.
Can't be making excuses like that just for Idra.
Same idea as if you lost out on the NBA Playoffs in the first round since you played the 1st seed when you were the 8th seed... You can't just give the excuse, "oh it's okay, they're the best team in the conference anyway."

Also, another thing is the quality of the games - as Sen showed on Monday, he is not up to par with the koreans.

Sen is not really on par with our best foreign Terrans either compared to his other match-ups, much less Korean Terrans. =__=

So if Lucky loses he's not worthy either? or does it only apply to IdrA

IdrA proved in MLGs that as opposed to most foreigner zerg players, his style translates well against Koreans (not called MC). In nearly any other group, I'd put him as a lock to advance, but MVP and Nestea's vZ are just impossibly strong. When he can only afford one loss, this is enough to knock him into code A.
Which groups would you consider him a lock to advance?
Group A - Jjakji has terrifying TvZ and Ganzi is really good too, he'd probably beat Boxer. Group B - Supernova and ForGG are both extremely good and MC always beats Idra Group D - Curious and Bomber are both extremely good He beat Bomber sure but Bomber beat Idra at Raleigh. Oz isn't that great but Idra is weak vs Protoss. He would beat Inca. Group E - MMA is almost unbeatable TvZ, Zenio is a ZvZ sniper who always seems to beat Idra and Gumiho is really underrated and good vs Zerg. Group F - Sc is another boss in TvZ and he specialises in early game shenanigans which is Idra's weakness, JYP is a PvZ expert and DRG isn't amazing vs Zerg but he's a better Zerg in general than Idra. Group G - The second easiest group but Happy has an insane TvZ win rate and Brown is 4-0 vs Zerg in GSL. MKP beat Idra at Orlando. Group H - Easiest group but two Protoss and Kean has done some pretty sick stuff like all kill Slayers recently.
Basically every group is insane stacked nowadays. The days of guys like Genius, Ensnare and Hongun are long gone.
Idra could get out any group here as could basically every player but he wouldn't be a favourite in any of them.

Actually, it is a very good excuse. You often hear sports casters saying, "no shame in losing to X." However, if you were seeded 8th, then you're already borderline not "worthy."
But, if you don't want any excuses, then let's agree that if MVP and Nestea somehow don't make it out of the group then they aren't worthy of Code S.
I doubt that we'll see many seasons when any given player in Code S is absolutely better than every given player in Code A. If there is a group of relative powerhouses, then it won't work out that way. I don't think worthy is a good word to use with respect to this. I think there is just being either in or out.

Oh god he is. Nevermind, GSL is now 29 Gosu's, 2 foreign seed and MVP Genius void ray cheesing Terran's.

Genius has actually displayed some very good macro games recently.

Obviously to be the best in the world, you'll need to beat MVP and Nestea at some point, but losing to them is no reason to call him "unworthy of Code S".
8th Seeds losing to 1st Seeds aren't told to GTFO of the pro leagues.

I don't care about GSL giving Idra a free Code S seed if they give him a rising from the dead video tribute.
