As far as MVP goes.. its gonna be difficult enough for one of the three zergs to take a game off him let alone a series. MVP & NesTea to the round of 16! EDIT: Sure some people will say it was a close series at the global invitational, but this time its on NesTea's home turf... no flying for several hours to another country... a break from serious competition so time for a little rest and practise/preparation. He should be in really good shape. Could be time for lambs to the slaughter.

Lucky.. not seen him play since IPL3, if his ZvZ is like it was then I think Idra would have that series... but as I said not seen him play since IPL3 so can't really comment. If he was slipping up or if it was obvious he was extremely underperforming that would be evidence. And it's pretty safe to say that Idra is on his home turf too.

This makes zero sense. Marginally beating someone you should be comfortably beating is no more or less a sign of jet lag than losing to someone you should comfortably beat. You can be jet lagged and still win, just as Koreans (and foreigners based in Korea) do every tournament. And it's pretty safe to say that Idra is on his home turf too. No he's not. How do you figure this? Idra more than anyone tends almost always only deliver in North America, he has a questionable record in Europe especially. A lot of people point to his Gsl Ro8/Ro16 as being successful last time out but by his own admission his actual skill should have brought him better results. He was legitimately amongst the absolute best in the beta and early release but his open season results never reflected that.

Match 1 MVP <Entombed Valley> Lucky (BO3 Format) Match 2 IdrA <Dual Sight 1.1> NesTea (BO3 Format) Why isn't Nestea and MVP playing each other first? I thought they made team-mates play each other within the first 2 games like the way they made Boxer / Ganzi play each other first...

This isn't round robin... if Nestea and MVP face off both will be motivated to win, either they'll face off for 1st place in group, 2nd place in group, or 3rd place in group... it won't be a case where Nestea is 0-2 and MVP is 2-0 and a game is thrown.

It's foolish to say that fact is a product of the environment he was in without more evidence. I don't know, maybe being the country for the last 5 years might have something to do with it. It's obvious that'll he'll do better with less travel and SlayerS training which he wouldn't get in NA. He's not somehow uncomfortable being in SKorea and the home turf argument means nothing then. They're both where they are most likely to perform at their best.

That's only if they have a potential motivation to throw the game to help their teammate because they're either eliminated or already advancing. In this format if you are still playing you can still lose or win so it doesn't matter.

I thought they made team-mates play each other within the first 2 games like the way they made Boxer / Ganzi play each other first... its because is group selection. Players were classified in 4 tiers. 1st tier is RO8 GSL November, rest is by points. Tier 1 plays tier 4 and then tier 2 plays tier 3. Mvp was tier 1 (RO4 Nov.) and plays Lucky (Tier 4). Nestea is tier 2 and plays IdrA (tier 3) as IdrA had points because of GSL Jan.

That might seem logical but it was logical for Naniwa, Morrow, Sase, Ret, Haypro and others and yet when it came to it it didn't happen. Do you think Thorzain would lose to Yugioh or Sase to Fruitdealer at a Dreamhack? I sure don't.

I hope the Gracken proves me wrong but I just don't see it His ZvZ looked incredibably strong against Nestea at MLG Edit:Specifically his harrassment and macro - it was simply better than Nesteas. If IdrA can survive early timing attacks I think he'll do fine, and considering these are best of threes there is less chance of IdrA losing to cute all-in builds. I think if he plays conservatively against Lucky, he'll take that series. Im not even rooting for IdrA (He's zerg, I want you all to lose) but he's not going to bomb out like Sen. Also, I think there is just a slight, slight chance that MVP will not make it through. Slight. No single man can be this consistant for this long.
