In nearly any other group, I'd put him as a lock to advance, but MVP and Nestea's vZ are just impossibly strong. When he can only afford one loss, this is enough to knock him into code A. Which groups would you consider him a lock to advance? Group A - Jjakji has terrifying TvZ and Ganzi is really good too, he'd probably beat Boxer. Group B - Supernova and ForGG are both extremely good and MC always beats Idra Group D - Curious and Bomber are both extremely good He beat Bomber sure but Bomber beat Idra at Raleigh. Oz isn't that great but Idra is weak vs Protoss. He would beat Inca. Group E - MMA is almost unbeatable TvZ, Zenio is a ZvZ sniper who always seems to beat Idra and Gumiho is really underrated and good vs Zerg. Group F - Sc is another boss in TvZ and he specialises in early game shenanigans which is Idra's weakness, JYP is a PvZ expert and DRG isn't amazing vs Zerg but he's a better Zerg in general than Idra. Group G - The second easiest group but Happy has an insane TvZ win rate and Brown is 4-0 vs Zerg in GSL. MKP beat Idra at Orlando. Group H - Easiest group but two Protoss and Kean has done some pretty sick stuff like all kill Slayers recently. Basically every group is insane stacked nowadays. The days of guys like Genius, Ensnare and Hongun are long gone. Idra could get out any group here as could basically every player but he wouldn't be a favourite in any of them. Don't underrate Oz and Genius. I'm pretty sure at least one of them will still remain until Ro8.

HOWEVER, if idra doesnt beat nestea + lucky, or nestea + mvp, or nestea twice, idra is total trash and needs to gtfo. thats how our brains work =D

And well, good luck to IdrA. Normally I want him to lose (sweet fan boy tears) but today it would be good for the foreign scene if he manage to qualify for the next round.

Agreed totally with most of your analysis, all the groups are really strong these days and he'd have a very hard time in every single group (at least on paper.) I'm not an IdrA fan, but I'm still expecting him to be really competitive tonight, it'll be interesting to see what happens.. Personally, I just hope Mvp kicks some ass ![]()

He beat Idra 2-0 in the NASL and then beat Idra again in the group stages of an earlier MLG. At the more recent MLG, he lost 4-3, but their overall record is still in Boxer's favor. I know these are just statistics, but Idra is really weak against Boxer's cheesy/crazy early game strategies/micro xD
