Edit: P had to be T
Edit 2: Actually, now that I look at it even better, the distribution is already correct, since a Zerg will go through in this group and a Terran will go through from group G... Liquipedia, why you so awesome?

What about Jinro and Nani? Wasn't Nani in Code S a while back?

Jinro is in the depths of Code B right now, he had some nice qualifier tries though.Haven't been following SC2 for the last few seasons of GSL. Where is Huk nowadays? Is he relegated to Code A? Watched Homestory and other than MC and MKP, didn't really recognize most of the other players, especially the other Koreans. What about Jinro and Nani? Wasn't Nani in Code S a while back?

He's going to have a tough time, but if there's a foreigner that can pull out of this group it's Huk. And if there's another one, it's IdrA. Today is going to be so much fun.

Nestea's ZvZ is too strong. IdrA proved in MLGs that as opposed to most foreigner zerg players, his style translates well against Koreans (not called MC). In nearly any other group, I'd put him as a lock to advance, but MVP and Nestea's vZ are just impossibly strong. When he can only afford one loss, this is enough to knock him into code A. Which groups would you consider him a lock to advance? Group A - Jjakji has terrifying TvZ and Ganzi is really good too, he'd probably beat Boxer. Group B - Supernova and ForGG are both extremely good and MC always beats Idra Group D - Curious and Bomber are both extremely good He beat Bomber sure but Bomber beat Idra at Raleigh. Oz isn't that great but Idra is weak vs Protoss. He would beat Inca. Group E - MMA is almost unbeatable TvZ, Zenio is a ZvZ sniper who always seems to beat Idra and Gumiho is really underrated and good vs Zerg. Group F - Sc is another boss in TvZ and he specialises in early game shenanigans which is Idra's weakness, JYP is a PvZ expert and DRG isn't amazing vs Zerg but he's a better Zerg in general than Idra. Group G - The second easiest group but Happy has an insane TvZ win rate and Brown is 4-0 vs Zerg in GSL. MKP beat Idra at Orlando. Group H - Easiest group but two Protoss and Kean has done some pretty sick stuff like all kill Slayers recently. Basically every group is insane stacked nowadays. The days of guys like Genius, Ensnare and Hongun are long gone. Idra could get out any group here as could basically every player but he wouldn't be a favourite in any of them. Agreed totally with most of your analysis, all the groups are really strong these days and he'd have a very hard time in every single group (at least on paper.) I'm not an IdrA fan, but I'm still expecting him to be really competitive tonight, it'll be interesting to see what happens.. Personally, I just hope Mvp kicks some ass ![]() @Seraphone You do realize that pretty much every time Boxer and Idra meets, Boxer wins? He beat Idra 2-0 in the NASL and then beat Idra again in the group stages of an earlier MLG. At the more recent MLG, he lost 4-3, but their overall record is still in Boxer's favor. I know these are just statistics, but Idra is really weak against Boxer's cheesy/crazy early game strategies/micro xD I was going to mention that but I didn't want to seem too biased against Idra so I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Plus Boxer is like White Ra in that he shouldn't win games but he does and I can't really understand why. This makes it very hard for me to ever predict in his favour.

He's going to have a tough time, but if there's a foreigner that can pull out of this group it's Huk. And if there's another one, it's IdrA. Today is going to be so much fun. Agreed first time in awhile I'll be staying up to watch GSL. Proud Idra fanboy always will be. Try to think of myself as a dignified fanboy though who listens to reason lol.

Sometimes Boxer will win games where he is in an impossible situation. Other games he is like 150 to 50 food but then loses xD

MVP proxy 2raxes IdrA one game, wins with his first major push the other. Nestea holds IdrA's all-in one game, wins a macro game the other. IdrA wins macro games against Lucky. Lucky loses to everyone.
