LOL this guy...first he says TL would win against every SC2 team in the world, after losing to one player, he goes on to say that they'll win from the loser's bracket...just fyi, Mouz got knocked into the loser's bracket too. and thorzain, morrow, mana, and hasuobs are all great players.

forever underrated T__T i guess nobody thought that he would be able to win 5 straight games against varied players and styles.

LOL at non-believers.

In all honesty, it's been a tough few months for Liquid. There was once a time when Liquid dominated the foreign scene, and Jinro was over in Korea doing very well in the GSL (back to back semis). Now look at them. Hero's been doing pretty well, but his wins were largely against foreigners (except Puma at DH). But Jinro cannot even qualify for Code A anymore, Tyler and TLO have not had results in months. Haypro had a good MLG Providence, only to get knocked out in the first round at DH. Ret's been doing decently well, but not anything really impressive. Huk plays for EG now. It's been tough for Liquid, and now this.

just saying.

That games played like 1.5 month ago,if there is a rematch between QIM and TL in this times,TL will destroy QIM even with their "BIG" koreans.

Currently HerO,Ret,JinrO,Zenio is on their best conditions.

you just look to results but not seeing truth.

Stop being ridiculous. I'm one of the biggest Liquid fans around, but they got absolutely demolished today and even in best conditions, they would be big underdogs vs QIM's roster.

I think you have to either be pretty blind or at the very least go with an extreme version of heart over brain to pick Liquid as favourites in this matchup. Losing to an all-kill that is not from Nestea, Mvp or possibly Happy or Losira is of course very disappointing, but honestly, the talent pool of QIM definitely dwarfs that of Liquid's.

Very nice play by Sase. Well earned all kill there.

Please stop this ridiculous bias. Hero and Zenio can't even maintain Code A spots. IM has like 4 (or is it 5 now?) Code S players. They would still get stomped.
Plus I don't see how Zenio and Jinro are on their best condiditions when Zenio just lost in Code A and Jinro hasn't..........................?

You should watch Jinro's stream and ESV korean weekly.

Jinro played close games against SlayerSTaeja,he is improved soooooo much and slowly backing his old days.

Zenio just lose to MKP.(this guy only lose BoX TvZ against NesTea)

and HerO... Sweden(Dreamhack) > USA(NASL) > Korea(GSL) what do you expect? He did pretty well for his busy schedule.

and i'll also point out that Jinro lost to an unknown zerg less than a week ago. zenio got steamrolled by Bomber on live stream. Hero is their best shot.

I don't know about hero. He's amazing don't get me wrong, I saw him stomp tons of foreigners in Dream Hack and NASL but then he gets rolled by asd? Seriously?

...i see the two strongest zergs on TL losing to vastly different gamestyles. i see their ONLY terran getting rolled. i see hero, the best hope of TL, and tyler losing to another protoss in what is said to be the most dangerous matchup. what truth am i not seeing in these results? that TL was holding back? that 5 separate members of TL failed to win one game?

To put things in perspective, they played like shit, way below their ability, and they lost one series in an online team league.

It hurts as fuck for a fan to see this kind of loss, but it's hardly a big deal in the big picture. It's just like when IM got all killed by qxc to be honest.

I had to read this a few times through. Then I washed my face and rubbed my eyes and read it again, just because I was in so much disbelief that you could say this seriously. I realized you were being serious, and then I chuckled.

Sick.

I hope that this loss encourages Liquid to work harder, rather than discourage them.

I doubt TLPro will even run an article of this episode, considering that there was no news of Hero and Zenio's losses in Code A, yet minutes after Hero won DH, the news was up.

Why on earth would TLPro feature this? Of course they hype victories and positive news for the team. And I guess, if I were to indulge in the rather far fetched concept that a loss like this in a tournament such as this would ever discourage a team from improving, Hero went on to win Dreamhack with Ret placing top four in the tournament after these games were played.

But yeah, Sase looked incredibly good. Really happy for him, I hope that he shakes his nerves when it comes to the GSL and will be able to make progress there. <3

I remember TLPro used to give tournament recaps (good and bad), as well as Hero's performances (good and bad) in the past few GSLs. TLPro is supposed to be a news outlet for the team, and even in bad news, they should report it and hopefully encourage their players to do better in the future. But to selectively report only the good news, that sounds like propaganda or something that Fox News would do to me, and I do not believe that Liquid is that type of organization.

But it is not a news organisation. I am sure they will report every now and again on losses, especially important ones. They did a piece on Hero losing to Puma in the NASL finals. However, tournaments that are broadcasted three weeks or so after being played I very much doubt. Perhaps they would make a piece if Liquid won, hell, they might even surprise me and put up something about this match, but I cannot imagine it is something they would prioritise. Furthermore, looking at the amount of work Liquid staff have put in as of late and just guessing at their resource allocation, it would not seem reasonable to expect articles about losing in this kind of tournament at this point in time. Of course they will write about live event wins (or losses) when they have staff at the actual tournament, this kind of stuff is quite different.

I guess I just think it is very far fetched to believe that losing this series will demotivate any Liquid player or staff. And likening TLPro to Fox News because they will likely not report on this loss similarly strange.

Eh, I guess Team Arena is not too high on their priority list then. I just liked going on that site and getting all the news about TL without all of the other stuff on the forums. I personally do not mind stories about less than positive news, since every victory become mores triumphant when there is a loss before that the team overcame.

As for the Fox News thing, there is a distinction between failing to report a story due to agenda, and not reporting just because of insignificance. And since it seems that Liquid is the latter, the comparison does not stand. I hope no one was offended or took it personally.

LOL this guy...first he says TL would win against every SC2 team in the world, after losing to one player, he goes on to say that they'll win from the loser's bracket...just fyi, Mouz got knocked into the loser's bracket too. and thorzain, morrow, mana, and hasuobs are all great players.

Currently HerO,Ret,JinrO,Zenio is on their best conditions.

also @aviator116
you must learn difference between "see" and "look".

you just look to results but not seeing truth.

...i see the two strongest zergs on TL losing to vastly different gamestyles. i see their ONLY terran getting rolled. i see hero, the best hope of TL, and tyler losing to another protoss in what is said to be the most dangerous matchup. what truth am i not seeing in these results? that TL was holding back? that 5 separate members of TL failed to win one game?

To put things in perspective, they played like shit, way below their ability, and they lost one series in an online team league.

It hurts as fuck for a fan to see this kind of loss, but it's hardly a big deal in the big picture. It's just like when IM got all killed by qxc to be honest.

Exactly Talin,exactly.

Seriously?

HerO just played in 2 tournaments before GSL and never got a chance for practicing his GSL match MEANWHILE asd just sleeped like a boss and watched HerO,prepared his style.

Sick.

Haha I know your trolling but I'm going to answer this. If hero only cares about money, then doing tons of foreign tournaments is great. If he wants to be considered a top level korean, he's gonna need consistently good results in the GSL. That's just the way it works.

Don't bother debating him too much. I love this guy's team loyalty and optimism, but saying that the NASL is more prestigious than the GSL...well, I'll let you decide what to think about his perspective on things.

Trolling? Are you serious?

im a big teamliquid fan and proud with it.

See you at GSL 2012,HerO will shut your mouth.

Just like he did tonight amirite?

Losing one game(not even BoX) against SaSe make him a bad player?

you are such a bad troll.
IdrA "TT1 actually fucked up and didn't see the hatchery,so im at a really big advantage right now, assuming he reacts intelligently which is not something you should assume with TT1"
