Please stop the tournament comparison discussion. Especially regarding players their runs (Stephano seems to be the current topic). Stay on topic and stick to the games. Consequences will be met out to further derailment.
In addition leave the usual out of this topic:
-Balance complaints -Map complaints -Stream complaints -Caster/player bashing -Off topic discussions
Logically continue this list with things that are obviously frowned upon. Enjoy the free and wonderful event with loads of games and coverage! |

YES YES YES YES, Im so happy for Naniwa!! Hes my Hero ! (L)

The producer of the Tastosis stream really seems like a big ABBA fan. Good music choices, imho. Makes waiting a bit less boring.

He tried his best to bust and it probably would have worked if Nani hadn't gotten a stargate. He saw the void ray, yet kept streaming lings and roaches. ?_? He did a "semi-allin" and tried to turn it into a real all-in. Really sloppy play in general, he does it a ton better on stream. since he was behind by like 5-10 workers, less production, less tech, only 2 base vs 2 base.
If he had gotten into the main and killed a lot more probes, finished off the nexus in the natural, unpowered or denied the voidray from finishing. He'd have a chance.
Also I think sheth had 1 queen which would die to that voidray pretty quick.

Stephano playing sloppy so that people think he is doing bad.
This way he can come back to Blizzard cup and pwn everyone !
Smart !!

when's the next match on any stream?

Whooooa, upset ? Not really. Someone has to come last dood & everyone in that group is capable of taking games off each other.

Happy for Naniwa, good advances so far. Group play bit less exciting than brackets ive got to say.

Sheth 1-1 3:2 Naniwa 1-1 3:3 ClouD 1-1 2:3 Sheth is 5-2, Nani is 5-3, Cloud is 4-4. Nani and Sheth through. Depends if they consider direct results > mapdiff or the other way arround. Anyways, seems like Nani advances either way. It's been posted a trillion times that map score is the first tiebreaker.

Why do people immediately start discussing if player X or Y has thrown the game? These players aren't even teammates for pete's sake!
The problem isn't players throwing the game away, the problem is the tournament bracket. The current setup allows for games where 1 side doesn't have much to gain or lose, giving the player less motivation to play his best. Switch to the gsl style group play and this wouldn't be a problem.

nani lives another day, if he keeps making big mistakes no way he can win the tourny tho

You know, being French & from Toulouse, I'm pretty bummed out. Yet, Stephano is so arrogant and haughty that I'll get over it pretty quickly... hard learning curve that one..

You can play the GSL format with BO3. It is just not round robin, where people who will advance for sure, throw their games.

It's not bad.
Just less exciting than tie-breakers .

I like the dreamhack format way way way more. My only complaint is that when there is a tie in points (won maps and h2h results don't matter) The 2 players play a Bo1 to see who goes to the next round. 3way tie would be a bit more tricky tho
