Here we go again. This weekend is about good games and good fun. Don't rain on that parade. Play nice guys. Here's the very standard and friendly:

- NO Balance Whine.
- NO Player Bashing.
- NO Caster Bashing.
- NO BM whatsoever.

Breaking these rules (from pg 166 forward) will be met with severe punishment.

yes, his two base all ins should have won every match, but they didn't. Leenock deserved that win more than Naniwa He beat him 4-1 AFTER beating just about every top tier pro in the tourny for 3 days straight.

The player who deserved to win is the player who successfully navigated both the game and the tournament format, and playing appropriately to win every match he needed to, including the finals.

In other words, the guy who deserves to win is the guy who won.

I hate this whole "Well, he lost but he really deserved to win." You're like the LA Dodgers fans I used to know as a kid who despite their team losing every year, would say shit like "Well, LA is really the better team. . ."

No he didn't. He lost. Leenock didn't cheat. Naniwa just lost.

Can anyone explain why the final was an extended series? I'm scouring the brackets trying to find when Nani and Leenock first played (and Leenock won 2-1 apparently?) but I can't find it anywhere.

He beat MVP (3 time champion), Nestea (3 time chamipon) twice and took out DRG.

Frankly, I have never heard much about Leenock until MLG Providence. I don't follow the GSL as much and I am damn glad that that Leenock came all the way from the open bracket and managed to pull out this amazing feat. Props to him. He truly deserved this win no matter what "cheesy" tactics he used or how well Naniwa did leading up to the finals.

It's double elimination. So in the finals Leenock had to win the first Bo3 played.

It wasn't an extended series from the beginning. Double Elimination made the final two Bo3's and Naniwa only needed to win one.
He lost the first one. The second started and because of the, in this case even more, ridiculous extended series rule the second Bo3 was a Bo7 starting with the result of the first Bo3.

This MLG Naniwa alone probably beat as many high quality players as Huk in his whole Code S career and people still doubt him?

He defeated MVP, Nestea (twice) and HuK and these players have won some games in the GSL, so Naniwa also has chances to win a game there.

I dislike Zergs with a passion, but leenock really deserves mad respect for what he did. The format needs to be changed though, having a seed should not give you such an advantage over OB players.

It really annoys me that people are still criticizing Leenock for his cheese. I would criticize Leenock too after the first game. Then after the second game, I would start to ask myself why isn't Naniwa expecting this. Then after the third and fourth game, I would think, leenock totally deserves this because of Naniwa's inflexibility and the now obvious flaws in his build.

Now looking at it even more carefully in hindsight, I wouldn't even criticize Leenock at all, he exploited an obvious weakness that naniwa refused to fix. Hell, if you do a build over and over and over again, you better make sure its cheese proof; no cheese proof builds are called risks that you take here and there which naniwa just did every single time.

Congratulations to leenock. Seriously, the kid is amazing.

Well it is not Naniwas fault that the MLG have a code S spot for the first 2 players. He played the games he was expected to and did it amazing. He beat 2 GSL champions and Code S players and Huk who is one of the best foreigners who also is in Code S.

He does not have to apologize for anything even if he gets raped in Code S.
