Here we go again. This weekend is about good games and good fun. Don't rain on that parade. Play nice guys. Here's the very standard and friendly:

- NO Balance Whine.
- NO Player Bashing.
- NO Caster Bashing.
- NO BM whatsoever.

Breaking these rules (from pg 166 forward) will be met with severe punishment.

Not trying to be racist at all here, but I have several friends from Stockholm and they all kinda act like that. Theyre great dudes but they come off as very weird/awkward until you get to know them(some even after you know them). From my experience at least, Swedes like Jinro seem to be the minority.

Aye, we're an awkward country with awkward people. It's got to do with Jante-lagen, get one of your swedish friends to explain that one to you >.>

Haha will do. The only time i was ever in Sweden i was too young to remember anything about it, but my friends always tell me things that are kinda funny(to me at least). I thought it was hilarious that my friend was studying to become a "Landmeister"(sp?) and had classes with the prince of sweden.

Guys a friend on mine is swedish, and he´s kinda the most charismatic and outgoing person i know. Dont generalize this

oh idd, Naniwa is in no way the typical swede :p quite the opposite imo. but hey, I cant really be objective now can I.

You really think wearing a murloc suit was MC's idea of BM? He was just being MC and entertaining fans.

In korea anything of this sort is ceremony/bm. You really think I don't understand what's entertaining and what's just outright offensive? All in good humor, sir.

Hmm from this tournament it seems protoss hard counter zerg, and terran is still the one to be able to do something about protoss, also naniwa didn't get matched against terran at mlg, so people calling him best protoss when he basicly only had to abuse force field balance against zerg on two base, hmmm his good yes but meh.

TL literally can't go 3 minutes without attempting to rank players.

I don't know why people care so much about ranking them either. What do you get from it?

It's a fun topic of discussion.

It's also futile as the very topic is fickle.

You could make the argument that any discussion is futile, you could make the argument that anything we ever do on this planet is futile, at least from a philosophical perspective. Some people just think it's fun to talk about it though, even if there's no real point of it.

That doesn't address the last part about it being fickle, which is the most important part.

Any argument needs substance. You can take very substance away from a tournament. Some guys could have better days than others.

soooo when are we going to stop calling ourselves foreigners, especially when we're the ones hosting the tourney?!

Never. Korea has by far the biggest scene and the best players. Unless that changes and a massive cultural shift happens somewhere else, it will never change.

Korea is NOT the biggest scene for SC2. Not yet. It's just the best.

You do realize they have local tournaments we don't get to see? Also a shit ton of players we don't get to see.

If the Korean scene is so huge for SC2, why do the Korean teams need foreign money?

They do right now...Flash is rumoured to be worth $400k. Once (if) BW switches over fully to SC2, just wait, they won't need foreign money.

I'm actually really impressed with Naniwa's PvZ.

For some reason, a lot of Toss' are trying to get cute against zerg with early stargate openings, but Naniwa is keeping it real with a sturdy and well-controlled deathball.

I'm really not sure why Toss moved away from the two-three base deathball anyway.

Part of why it faded off is people started getting earlier burrow/burrow movement. But yeah, it's so hard to stop if forcefields are good.

Why are foreign teams willing to give them money?

Because they want the koreans to represent their tourney. Foreign tourneys need Koreans more than Koreans need foreign tourneys.

I hope leenock beats DRG. Naniwa's methodical style of play just picked apart DRG's hyper aggressive style. I would love to see leenock's patience and situational awareness match up with naniwa's own patient style. Especially off the heels of his impressive performance against the best methodical terran in the world.

It's aspergers afaik no statement has been made regarding naniwa and his issues, so nobody knows for sure.

well I wouldn't be surprised. many really talented people suffer some form of social developmental impairment. kinda like how the best artists are depressed, etc.

It does make some sense, too. Just consider how effective it would be if you wouldn't constantly have to worry about social stuff and the way you might appear to other people but instead could use all these ressources otherwise.
No matter how hot it gets, sooner or later there's a cool breeze coming in.
