MLG Providence Day 3 Live Report Thread - Page 576
Forum Index > StarCraft 2 Tournaments |
Here we go again. This weekend is about good games and good fun. Don't rain on that parade. Play nice guys. Here's the very standard and friendly: - NO Balance Whine. - NO Player Bashing. - NO Caster Bashing. - NO BM whatsoever. Breaking these rules (from pg 166 forward) will be met with severe punishment.

I agree. Let's not forget that the GSL format is extremely different from the MLG format, that can make a huge difference.

Would you risk that amount of money, just to prove that you can go up to 5 bases and play a long game? ![]() It's absolutely got nothing to do with that. With how DRG played it would be completely retarded to do anything other than what naniwa did. DRG got himself in a vulnerable position by playing like crap, not making enough units, and letting nani just waltz into his main. You have to know that if you go for a fast third and deny a first strike, protoss is DEFINITELY going for some sort of 2 base allin. It could have been colossi, immortals, blink stalkers, stargates, ANYTHING would have killed DRG in that situation, because he didn't take enough defensive measures and instead decided to build a spire. You go Spire once you know you're going to have enough time to tech up to it, not when you know for sure your opponent is going for a 2 base timing. It's ridiculous how bad DRG's build was in that metalopolis game.

What should he have said? Did you want a speech from him thanking his whole team, the owners, the money etc etc. He said exactly what the truth is, better practice partners. God some people

If Naniwa had been running through the Open Bracket in this tournament, and gotten this far, I would be more likely to give him my vote for "the current best player in the world," but still! ![]()

In this very thread it says: 19:00 EST (-05:00) - 20:30 EST (-05:00) Championship Finals Ok, so finals are at 7pm. But then: 06:30PM - 07:30 PM Champ Losers Finals Help. Just keep watching. The next two games are the LB and Grand finals (DRG vs Leenock followed by Naniwa vs winner of DRG/Leenock). Should begin shortly.
