Here we go again. This weekend is about good games and good fun. Don't rain on that parade. Play nice guys. Here's the very standard and friendly:

- NO Balance Whine.
- NO Player Bashing.
- NO Caster Bashing.
- NO BM whatsoever.

Breaking these rules (from pg 166 forward) will be met with severe punishment.

I think Naniwa being unlikeable and awkward will actually build him a cult following that enjoy his deadpan style.

I think DRG should match fix with Leenock to give Koreans a glimmer of a hope of winning lol!

Not trying to be racist at all here, but I have several friends from Stockholm and they all kinda act like that. Theyre great dudes but they come off as very weird/awkward until you get to know them(some even after you know them). From my experience at least, Swedes like Jinro seem to be the minority.

Aye, we're an awkward country with awkward people. It's got to do with Jante-lagen, get one of your swedish friends to explain that one to you >.>

Playing computer games for the vast majority of his waking hours doesn't prepare him well for public speaking. Who'd have thought it.

Who cares! Too much emphasis in this world is placed on PR instead of raw skill. I don't need more of the same when watching e-sports.

So crazy. I think its plausible that Naniwa is the best player in the world right now, I don't know what else to conclude from these results.

One tourney doesn't make you the best player?

Haha yeah, Lucky is to Nani what Polt is to MMA, Mvp to Marineking, MC (and Zenio) to Idra.

goody to cloud, dimaga to mana, shows you how much of a mental game sc2 is, you can't win without confidence

Guys, help me understand the confusing schedule.

In this very thread it says:

19:00 EST (-05:00) - 20:30 EST (-05:00) Championship Finals

Ok, so finals are at 7pm.

But then:

06:30PM - 07:30 PM Champ Losers Finals

Help.

He's already won a tournament at this MLG dude.. Where's your excuse for HuK? His loss against Nani was the second match he played at MLG. Perhaps he needed more games to warm up? Perhaps a players needs exactly the right amount of games in them to perform?

Perhaps.

Perhaps we shouldn't deal so much in maybes. A confident Naniwa is a formidable foe - that's no perhaps, that's no maybe.

LOL just realized if naniwa wins 2 more games in a row, he will have won MLG providence with only 8 games played total. 2 against nestea, 2 against huk, 2 against drg, 2 against final comer

naniwa's accomplishment imo isnt that ultra overwhelming considering nestea had to face naniwa after going through the open bracket and having no stamina

naniwa is facing guys that are already so gamed out when they get up to face him but naniwa only played 4 games before DRG heh

i suspect once zergs learn to deal a bit better with this heavy strong forcefield style naniwa wont make it far in code S facing fresh players. i know after 30 games i get really dull and cant play at my top level

or heck even if you just have to play 6 games of high intensity in a row it really takes a toll on my level of play

I suspect you need to learn how to math son.

People don't realize that Nani got his seed because of his earlier MLG victory. He won that THROUGH THE OPEN BRACKET. He went something like 32-1 that weekend. He has played his game.

26-2

ACtually its drg vs leenock now right, so naniwa can still meet drg in the final..

Praying for Leenock to win so we have a proper final!

Leenock would still have to win two Bo3's while Naniwa would have to win one. MLG uses a proper implementation of double elimination, that's how it works.

What? MLG has never worked like that. They just put Nani up 2 games in a BO7.

They've always worked like that, if a player has not encountered another player, the Winner's Bracket finalist has to win 1 Bo3 while the Loser's Bracket finalist has to win 2 Bo3s, that's how double elimination works. That's what happened with MMA vs MVP.

Nope, it's an extended series and Nani is already up 2-0.

That's what he said.

No it's not.

2 Bo3 would leave the chance of Naniwa winning two maps, but still losing overall (1:2 1:2).
With a Bo7 with a 2:0 start that's impossible.

I dunno if they are really giving out two code S spots or if the admins are horribly mistaken.
