Here we go again. This weekend is about good games and good fun. Don't rain on that parade. Play nice guys. Here's the very standard and friendly:

- NO Balance Whine.
- NO Player Bashing.
- NO Caster Bashing.
- NO BM whatsoever.

Breaking these rules (from pg 166 forward) will be met with severe punishment.

Beating Nestea, MVP, Nestea, Huk and DRG in one weekend is pretty huge. Brilliant decission making and adapting on the spot. Sniping third base with warp prism and stalkers was insane, also winning a game after zerg took gold as his first expansion on metal... i'm amazed!

Some people like watching good games, and a lot of people don't think 8 minute games are good.

I would LOVE to see you go up there and force a 40 minute game on 5-6 bases. Against DRG. At MLG. For $50,000.

Would you risk that amount of money, just to prove that you can go up to 5 bases and play a long game?

I never said it's not a good strategy, I said I don't think it's fun to watch.

Sure if I'm playing I'll do whatever to win, but as a viewer I don't like watching games like that.

Naniwa might be awkward but man are those some incredibad questions.

Do you think anyone can beat you now?!?!

DO YOU EXPECT THE GUY TO GIVE A METHODOLOGICAL, ARTICULATE ANSWER? Of course he is simply going to say, no.

Dude, that's pretty awful. That's like saying you can't like someone because they are stupid or from a different country or are a different race. Some people are just awkward because that's the way they were born or raised.

I really really hope DRG loses because Leenock has had just as impressive of a run.

12-0 - Open Bracket
2-0: Boxer
2-0: Slush
2-1: MMA
2-0: Idra
2-0: Huk
2-0: MVP

Wow that is incredible seeing it laid out like that, god damn.

People need to stop bashing on Naniwa for being awkward too...does it really matter? His play speaks for itself...

LOL just realized if naniwa wins 2 more games in a row, he will have won MLG providence with only 8 games played total. 2 against nestea, 2 against huk, 2 against drg, 2 against final comer

naniwa's accomplishment imo isnt that ultra overwhelming considering nestea had to face naniwa after going through the open bracket and having no stamina

naniwa is facing guys that are already so gamed out when they get up to face him but naniwa only played 4 games before DRG heh

i suspect once zergs learn to deal a bit better with this heavy strong forcefield style naniwa wont make it far in code S facing fresh players. i know after 30 games i get really dull and cant play at my top level

or heck even if you just have to play 6 games of high intensity in a row it really takes a toll on my level of play

I suspect you need to learn how to math son.

People don't realize that Nani got his seed because of his earlier MLG victory. He won that THROUGH THE OPEN BRACKET. He went something like 32-1 that weekend. He has played his game.

So crazy. I think its plausible that Naniwa is the best player in the world right now, I don't know what else to conclude from these results.

Heh. And what if all these matches were repeated tomorrow. Are you sure the results would be the same? Most people would tell you otherwise. The point I'm making is simple -- you can't make CRAZY/dramatic proclamations such as "X is the best in the world" based off ONE tournament. It's ridiculous.

Not trying to be racist at all here, but I have several friends from Stockholm and they all kinda act like that. Theyre great dudes but they come off as very weird/awkward until you get to know them(some even after you know them). From my experience at least, Swedes like Jinro seem to be the minority.

Haha wow... I can say that your are completly wrong. Do you also find SaSe, SjoW, ThorZaiN, HayprO and MorroW wierd too?

Oh boy, I'll leave it at this. Everyone is different.

So if DRG beats Leenock, Naniwa is almost guaranteed to win this win.

What is the deal with MLG and horrible maps? Painful watching these maps with gold in them

...when did a classic SC2 map become horrible?

When zerg figured out you can take the gold base on metal for free, forcing protoss to all-in off 1 or two base.

It's why it was removed from ladder.

If they rocked the gold base, it would be balanced.

It would still be ill designed in other parts of the game. Wide open natural and third, very close air spawns, positional imbalances regarding main sizes and their for siegeability and regarding the distance between expansions and ramps. The middle area is way too narrow so you can split the map easily in nearly all match ups.
I want to be with those who share secret things or else alone.

Yep, it is as much a disgrace as it was when they announced they were keeping it for this year. Impressive when you intentionally ruin your own tournaments with your dumbass rules.

Doesn't matter. Normal double elimination rules already ruined the finals no matter what.

ACtually its drg vs leenock now right, so naniwa can still meet drg in the final..

Praying for Leenock to win so we have a proper final!

Leenock would still have to win two Bo3's while Naniwa would have to win one. MLG uses a proper implementation of double elimination, that's how it works.

What? MLG has never worked like that. They just put Nani up 2 games in a BO7.

They've always worked like that, if a player has not encountered another player, the Winner's Bracket finalist has to win 1 Bo3 while the Loser's Bracket finalist has to win 2 Bo3s, that's how double elimination works. That's what happened with MMA vs MVP.

Nope, it's an extended series and Nani is already up 2-0.

Are you reading what I'm posting, or just blindly responding? If it's Naniwa vs DongRaeGu then it's an extended series with Naniwa up 2-0. If it's Naniwa vs Leenock it's 2 Bo3s with Naniwa having to win one and Leenock having to win two. That is how it's always been, go look up the Anaheim finals, MVP beat MMA 2-1 because he only had to win 1 Bo3. There is no extended purple, the VODs will reflect the same.

hmmm, nani playing well right now, but the real test is to see how well he does in kr on their home turf. so far, foreigners performance gsl wise is quite disappointing, like they can never quite get comfortable and play well there so let's wait before we call him the best x.
