Feels like all this bitching people have been doing has overshadowed his amazing feats of beating nestea in two bo3s and also beating mvp. Agreeeeeeeeeeed. Especially the "BM" part. I mean get over it... Thumbs down is okey imo, but not after such a game. You watch replay, you force a pause for no real reason, your coach comes into your booth during the game, and then you bm your opponent? That's just really looks stupid for me. Pause looks totally valid to me, regardless if an admin told him or not, he believed it had to be cross position, it wasn't, he goes shit wrong map. Seriously how can people still defend Naniwa after what occured during game 3 ?
Because all but one of the allegations (the 'joke tournament' statement) are based solely on heresays, opinion, potential biasness. I don't like what Naniwa did as well but for as long as there is no proof or official statement that he cheated, broke the rules, overly unsportsmanship like behavior, there's nothing we can do about it except wave out e-pitchforks.

Seems like there is a lot people here that are angry at Naniwa cuz he destroyed their hero. it's not about destroying a hero, it's about how he "destroyed" the hero. On unfair conditions.
What was unfair? He scouted cross positions wrongly ... nestea went hatch first ...

Anyone wants to explain what difference makes spawn positions in that stage of the game? Imagine if he knew it's not only cross spawns, then he will still have 50% chance of finding his opponent, so it does not really matter. The only difference if that he would go scout in horizontal positions at first, and so he will safe few seconds, but is that really worth pausing? It's just again bm imo.
It isn't about gaining anything. He was TOLD/BELIEVED the map was CROSS POSITIONS ONLY.
He scouts, the guy isn't there. Clearly this means it is the wrong map? DUCY?

Even if the coach would have told naniwa nesteas build (hatch first) it's not a big deal because:
If he would have known the correct map spawns he would have socuted the hatch first with his probe becuz he would have been headed in the right direction. So basically he would have known anyhow without the mistake of the mlg stuff.
Problem solved. All in all it was a weird situation and if the rules say cross spawns on this map they should have restarted the game. So MLG made the mistake not naniwa. His bm about the tournament and nestea is truly another story...

Nevermind, I found it with some rebroadcast time scrolling. Thanks for the tip

Guys it's been like 400 pages get over it already. Jeez SC2 fans love drama. I'd thumb down nestea after beating him too, he was too cocky.
Nani fighting, hope he takes the whole tournament

Well that just shows youre lacking understanding of the game. If Naniwa was rushed he would have met the lings 100% in a cross only spawn. By not being garanteed to find him on first scout he would have to account for that in his strategy. Also, the rush distance is shorter for a sideway rush than a crossposition rush so you have to take that into consideratioin when you decide on you strategy as well.

The post on page 666 by mvtaylor summarize it really well on what really happend. Read it. Shitty conditions. This would never have been accepted in GSL as an pro example.

Woa woa woa, All this crying about Naniwa cheating is because he wanted to play on the correct map?! Guys... seriously. It makes a huge difference to scout late, if NesTea would have 6 pooled Naniwa would have died because of the wrong scout >_>! Then in your world NesTea would have "cheated" in using an advantage he shouldn't have.
He can't do that because 6 pool is banned with cannon rushes though right..

Shouldn't mods start to warn/ban people who, out of rage and their personal feelings, write offensive stuff about one the players?

Keep in mind that the story in question was not broadcast. There was a failed game on the same map during ads, which Naniwa watched the replay from, while Nestea was still in the restroom. (according to people who were there, I wasn't so I can't confirm this) I think that has stirred the most drama out of anything else. More info: read previous pages.

these are the same people I suppose who thinks that a complexity player manager entering the booth to talk to Naniwa in the middle of the game is a non issue.

But even this ... I know for instance that Jinro/Violet, they both watched the replay before playing the 2nd game, allowed/disallowed?

This would never have been accepted in GSL as an pro example. There are no rules against replay watching for disconnected/unfinished games. Viewing a replay after a finished match is allowed by MLG. Naniwa may have assumed that this applied for disconnected games and viewed it. May have gained him an unfair advantage, but the rules don't restrict it, and Nestea could have done the same thing.
Besides, the replay was 1:30-40 long and didn't tell much about anything because they restarted a new game.

I am not talking about the difference when the map was cross spawns only, because it is not. I am talking about the difference between if naniwa knows that it is cross spawns or not.
