It's simply because HALF of the time they are on live TV they're talking about puppies, pranks, movies, jokes, family stories, bla bla bla bla... This is simply pathetic. What would you feel if Marv Albert (the legendary NBA play-by-play commentator) did the same? Or Vin Scully from the Dodgers? Or pretty much any other cast from any serious sport? I really appreciate whenever they actually talk about the game, which at this point must be like 40% of the time they are not talking about a lollipop they tasted in high school.
Another major issue is the fact that it is impossible to actually listen to a cast whenever NesTea is playing. On the last game of the series with MVP, they pure and simply were sad when they figured out NesTea was gonna lose. I'm OK with being a fan of a player over another, but casters have the rule of impartiality. That not only unprofessional, it's disrespectful towards other players. I mentioned the same issue with IPL3 when PainUser went and said "This is what TheSTC needs to get back into this game" while he was 40 supply ahead over Stephano.
And last but not least, Starcraft 2 is over a year old, and there are certain things casters need to be pretty carefull before spitting them off. For example, for the last 3 GSL casts, Ro16 Code S, Code A finals and Ro8 Code S, in every single one of them you heard them say (Either Tastosis, Wolf and Moletrap) "This was the most ********** I've ever seen!". You've seen probably thousands of games by now, and I get it's pretty tempting to say something that will get the viewers attention, but most of the time you're simply not true. That Wolf's example when he said "This is the most one sided GSL finals I've ever seen!". This just called for a facepalm.
Don't get me wrong. I love e-Sports and I feel that correcting some of this issues as soon as possible is the only way "we" could be recognized all over the world and given more chances in national TV broadcasts and stuff.
EXACTLY. And the worst thing is that they speak with the arrogance of a bad university professor who has tenure. They think they're untouchable, so they just do whatever they want. They turn casts into live blogs of their personal lives. It's disgusting. I thought it was clever the first time Artosis talked about off topic stuff to fill some downtime but when he started doing it every other game I realised he was making a habit of it because he just doesn't seem to care anymore. And Tasteless with his casual dismissal of Korean pros is completely rude. The worst part is when people mindlessly agree with him. I must confess that I did this as well. I jumped on the anti-TheBest bandwagon, too, but guess what? TheBest is actually pretty good. He just made some mistakes that Tastosis ended up blowing out of proportion.
Starting to really hate Tastosis. Whoever's in charge of GOMTV seriously needs to sit down with the two and threaten them to get their act together or fire them. My blind fanboy favouritism for Tastosis is over.

People seriously need to shut up about MVPs record vs Nestea it is sooo irrelevant. 6 of those wins are completely meaningless at this stage. Xelnaga Caverns was the best ZvT map in the pool back then! If that doesn't tell you how meaningless those wins were then I don't know what does. Nestea says they both win and lose in practice and it mostly depends on who is in the better mindset before the games. MVP called Nestea his rival and said he was nervous about facing him last season in the ro16. They both obviously consider themselves about equal.

NesTea put up a better fight than I expected -- TT ..
We really need an MVP / NesTea final

They've lost their passion!!
Seriously though, I hope Tastosis never change I love them. I watch GSL for entertainement and they just add so much to any game they cast. The games are never exciting for 20-25 minutes in a row and you can follow yourself what's going on through what the observer shows, minimap, production tab, supply differences etc. they don't need to tell you every small thing that's happening. They do explain the reasoning behind most of the choices the players make and what their options are etc. which is a lot more important imo.

Losing games to your teammates or to good players apparently doesn't count? Doesn't this mean Nestea is also untouchable since he's only losing to MVP? I think that's exactly what he's implying. Watching those two play was like watching two true masters of their respective races face off against each other. I just don't see anyone else in the tournament beating them. They look too on form right now. If Nestea had won last night we'd have a Zerg champion. MVP took him down and looks on task to take this whole tournament as well.
Exactly, by beating NesTea, MVP has pretty much shown himself as untouchable as NesTea had the best chance of taking him down.

Who cares? The majority of the world probably still believes the world was created in 6 days, does that substantiate that at all? Compare them to ANY professional broadcaster in any televised sport and you will find a huge discrepancy in professionalism. It's alright every once in a while to get off topic but when they go on 5 minute tangents about inside jokes, its neither entertaining or useful.

You're both still, and forever will be, in the minority.
I think the minority is growing.
I mean, even I who had no issues with HD and Painuser whilst people bitched and moaned have started to become a little annoyed listening to Tastosis anecdotes. I know it must be boring to cast the same thing in certain match ups, but not all of us catch every single game ever.
Don't get me wrong, I like their jokes, stories, questions, etc. But I think they're starting to spend more time practicing stand up than giving us both a play by play and analysis. Artosis feels like he only analyses builds he likes, whilst the play by play needs to happen in more than just battles.

They both obviously consider themselves about equal.
his record is 11-3 against nestea. he won 3-2 last night with a HORRIBLE map pool. tal'darim, metal, bel'shir and dual sight! I'm sure MVP does consider Nestea his rival as he is quite possibly the next best player, but MVP is clearly the #1 at this point and arguing otherwise reeks of pure fanboism.

I've purchased every single ticket at GomTV and as GSL seasons it's getting harder and harder to tolerate Tastosis casting. It's not a game knowledge, not the game insights, not even the enthusiasm they bring to the table. It's simply because HALF of the time they are on live TV they're talking about puppies, pranks, movies, jokes, family stories, bla bla bla bla... This is simply pathetic.
Um, no it doesn't substantiate it, but how does that validate your point?
The fact remains that a lot more Bibles are sold every year than anything Christopher Hitchens will ever write. Gom doesn't care if people like you find tastosis unprofessional. What they want is for as many people as possible to watch their tournament. And if they were to fire Tastosis a lot of people wouldn't buy tickets.

the minority simple "yells" louder so it seems there are more of them. I don't need a straight analysis of the game as I can follow it. I like tastosis for the enjoyment factor as well as their rambling stories. It adds context to the personality. If you want straight, boring analysis, go listen to moletrap.

Artosis is the best analytical caster out there and Tasteless is more knowledgeable than most play-by-play guys while being beloved by everyone. They have the best chemistry by far of any 2 casters. The Nestea fanboism is quite annoying and the off-topic banter gets carried away at times, but they are still the best and most popular by a wide margin and thats not like to change anytime soon.
