Because Terrans are so imba they voluntarily decide to make the game competitive by not using more than a 3rd of their available units at a time, such as the Raven while opting to blow several dozen scans in leiu of that unit.

You don't have enough Gas on 2-3 Bases to constantly get Tanks/Medivacs/Upgrade AND Ravens from a second Starport . Blowing minerals for scans in most cases is just smarter , it's not like Ravens are that good against Zerg in low numbers .

You dont mass medivacs, pretty much mass marine with a few tanks and build ravens, i saw it used vs infestors, you can kill up to 10 infestors per seeker missile and have 1 guaranteed kill if you launch, seeker is good against pretty much everything and marine kill anything seeker doesnt with splits etc, i didnt see the style much but i thought it was very interesting and powerful

Stop spewing out misinformation. Raven costs 200 gas, thats all you need. For fucks sake the 1/1/1 build vs P gets tanks banshees and ravens. Terran float gas anyway, to say Terrans can't afford a Raven on 3 bases is absolutely ridiculous.

Don't act like Ravens don't die . Medivacs die alot in Terran armies and Ravens have less HP and Armor . 1 Raven and you're fine is not how it works you will need to rebuild Ravens all the time ( like Tanks and Medivacs ) while upgrading. You'd need to cut 1 of the 3 other things build Ravens with your army. And tbh you don't need Ravens if you move forward carefully because other then seeing burrowed banelings they do very little ( next to nothing) against Zerg in low numbers.

Why, that's as much gas as an high templar! Outrageous!

Should get your facts straight, SM costs allot more energy than storm, not to mention it is a stupid amount of times worse.

yea maybe if we are playing in the past, but HSM now outspeeds basicly all of the zergs units so it would easily be able to hit.

Slower than speed Roach, zergling, Mutalisk, any unit on creep, wont catch a baneling because they move at same rate. Also anyone can easily just isolate the unit being targeted.
