I gave it up rather quickly due to the poor coverage, can someone tell me which game(s?) were broadcasted live from the stage, beside axslav vs moman ?
Here is my experience as a spectator present at the venue.
-So many good players in a small area! Apart from the main stage, the whole SC2 area is stacked in a relatively small area where we can go around half of it, at literally 1 meter behind the players. There are 3 big screens replicating players computers so we can see them playing at FPOV (however they were showing the same players all day long).
-Players are so nice and easily accessible! It's my first big international SC2 event and I am amazed how players are friendly. I managed to talk to Axslav and Grubby for a couple of minutes each and get autographs from others easily. Since it was a weekday I guess there were not that many people there trying to get to them.
-The main stage is huge. There are plenty of seats and the area is quite spacy. The main screen is really big and shows the players' faces on each side. The drawback is no booth as you already know.
A few points on which they could do better:
-No schedule is announced to spectators. There only is 1 screen displaying results. We do not know when games are being played as there is no announcement whatsoever of what is going to happen next. I asked to a representative for a detailed schedule and he showed me the handbook given to players saying I could not not keep it.
-So few matches on the main stage: only 3 in the whole day (from 9:30 am to 6pm). The rest of the time, there has been a liitle of everything (trackmania, CS girls, cheerleaders, GranTurismo5) and a lot of nothing. I spent most of the day standing behind the players trying to catch tournament games in the middle of ladder games (watching MKP playing random is fun though).
My understanding is they wanted to play the group stages matches all at the same time. But in reality it was not really the case as main stage matches were not played at the same time as other games... I really wonder why they did not show more games on the main stage.
To sum up: pretty happy to have met the players, a little disappointed to not have seen many SC2 games. Cya tomorrow!
So gotta put out a quick apology to Blight. First cast of the day, having slept about 2 hours, Battle.net bugs out and shows me that Blight is Silver league. The fact that this seems odd doesn't really click in my sleep-deprived brain and I referred to him in the cast as Silver league several times. This was not intended as an insult, this is genuinely what Battle.net told me. The casts involving Blight have been removed from the channel and the vods deleted. This was a stupid mistake on my part which shouldn't have happened so sorry to Blight for appearing insulting, this was not intentional.

you are a scholar and a champion, sir biscuit. your good intentions shine over any obvious mistake and sleep deprived wafflings
Way too many "filler" players in this tournament, most of them don't have a prayer at winning a series against someone decent let alone winning the tournament.
