lol saddest game for protoss fans,, wtf killer didnt abuse the cliff at gold expo of zerg and no sentries?? and then he leaves the 1 pylon to get killed and supply blocking him just bad play by killer, needed to play it like jyp.

dont see what protoss should do in this situation. play a defensiv macro game vs a zerg that takes the gold as their third? t.t

Well from a zerg point of view, those games with coca were amazing. I loved watching that crushing occur, especially since here in the west, zergs still lose to protoss

As a P/T if you are not expanding behind it, and your army is a deathball/mech it often is all in.

IMO all golds with out rocks on them are imbalanced. It just completely throws off all timings that normally exist and with a zerg taking a fast gold vs a protoss it can't really be punished.

well if you deny scouting well on antiga you can do 2 options:
1: sit and build units in ur base constantly and move out randomly with a ton of units with 7gate
2: sit on 2stargate and mass up 5 voidrays then reinforce with phoenix

option 1 beats zerg if he techs lair etc and spores etc
option 2 beats zerg if he doesnt make a lair fast enough

its a 50%50 chance to win u think its coinflip? well in that sense its coinflip from zerg too. personally i just hate that zerg that expo 3rd base to gold bases. antiga would be better if there were rocks on the gold base, aswell as metalopolis to remove some luck bad luck from the game

theres also another thing u can do which sage likes. which is to pressure high with +1 zealots meanwhile rushing dts and warp in 3 dts to snipe the hatchery. this can be extremely dangerous aswell for zerg

in that game he could also gone for 5gate with superfast +1 and warptech and attack 30 seconds quicker without the +2 gas in the natural and it would just straight up kill the zergs 3rd because he didnt have any units at that point

so in short words its all about timing and preventing scouting. and coinflipping to some extent ofcourse

coca actually "blind coutnered" killer that game because 4hatchery quick and that amount of drones before starting to make units is the perfect situation to deal with 7gate

i just feel like protosses are being too predictable when they take the gold base. they go for the obvious 7gate but they dont realize this timing is actually too late in most cases to kill the 3rd base since zerg already stopped making drones at this point

if you have 1 attack that has to work or you lose... that is exactly what an all-in is
