MC won the GSL, when Protoss was considered underpowered. It was hit hard since then, almost every patch, something was nerfed one way or another. Some say MC is now slumping, but I don't see anyone else doing much better. The only difference is, they got further, because they met stronger opponents later on the road. I can sort of agree, that there are more good Terran players, but to dismiss this whole situation and say, there are no good Toss players is just unbelievable. Every Toss is looking forward to the new patch, but I'm afraid it might not be enough, because the problem lies much deeper. The whole race seems too rigid, tech switches take too long etc. It's ironic, that the Zerg campaign, which was supposed to save the main campaign race is now supposed to also fix the Toss. With the influx of Koreans into the foreign tournaments, we might see the same trend we see in the GSL everywhere else, which could severely hurt the whole scene. | ||

One... of the biggest misconceptions. The Bonjwas were predominately Terran. The "top S class players" were fairly spread out amongst the races. The top 30 KESPA rankings for the past year have almost always been 1/3 - 1/3 - 1/3 for the races. Besides Flash, Terran hasn't even been dominating BW. It's not a ton of Terrans, Flash is an anomaly. | ||

At this point, Zerg is much more dominant then Terran, Flash and Fantasy are the only Terrans in individual leagues who just destroy their opponents, apart from them, its alot of Zergs. Then again, I do see somewhat of a BW trend, although it is a bit early already! + Show Spoiler + ANNHILIATE ALL OF AIUR'S HOPE IN STARCRAFT, BOTH GAMES. | ||

Why do people insist that terran players are stronger in korea? Wouldn't it make more sense to say, terrans are stronger among players who practice alot? | ||

I'm sad to hear that you thought JYP's plays were "gimmicky". He experimented with alternative tactics that Protoss players have so frequently been scolded for supposedly shunning, and now that he does, he is considered a "gimmicky" player. Quite frustrating. | ||
