The logic is not entirely flawed because Blizzard has a pro bono relationship with GSL. Ohh okay, true. I just hope Blizzard will take the GSL situation more seriously.

I know each race has a few players who dont deserve code S but it seems terran players are just solid lately with a pretty low amount of protoss players who honestly deserve code S. Honestly the only protoss who deserved code S who didnt get it was JYP but fate intervened so that MKP would get 2nd yet again. I'm a Korean and have been an e-sports fan for a long time, and I think I can safely say that statement is just plain wrong. There's no reason to think terran pro players have superior skills over protoss or zerg players, perhaps with only exception of MVP, probably was only pro player competitive enough in SC1 leagues when SC2 and GSL launched. But even MVP didn't "choose" terran in SC2 for any particular reason, he chose it because he was also a terran player in SC1. I'm not sure why this kind of myth keeps coming.. maybe because David Kim once said some similar remark? That remark was just lame. Nobody in Korean forum (like playxp) take it seriously. And nobody thinks JYP was outplayed by those two terran players. That's not the reason he couldn't make it. He did everything he could, and he did it pretty well, but just was playing wrong race. Now everybody with common sense should notice there's something wrong in the game itself when you see 20 players out of 32 are playing certain race. In elite level, protoss just can't beat terran. You guys souldn't bash MKP just because he did 1-1-1. He did what he is supposed to do. To win. You should bash Blizzard for allowing him to do that. And worse news? Upcoming 1.4 patch will be no cure for 1-1-1 nor EMP.

If anything they need changes not because of racial imbalance, but because I feel they are boring as hell. I've always felt warp gate mechanic was flawed as well.

JYP is quickly becoming my favourite protoss with his constant harrass/multitasking, sad he couldn't make it ![]()

And thanks to warp gate nerf, it's becoming worse and worse. So last season was 66%. I'm not sure how this means "more than fine". I don't know on what basis you are saying that statement, but numbers don't lie. His play was entertaining enough, but he just lost.

I know it doesn't matter at my level (diamond) but playing protoss is just depressing because there is no inspirational pro play that I can strive to emulate. I am serious thinking of switching to terran if 1.4 doesn't offer some hope. If for no other reason that I can actually do different shit when I play. Playing protoss feels like we either are trying to sucker punch the other race without them noticing or we brace ourselves and just let ourselves get beat on until the opponent gets tired of swinging. Can we have our amulet back yet? D:

Made me laugh ^^ It's so sad ![]() I've kind of stopped liking Tester, but I was hoping that the Protosses would have a little more success... I'm interested in seeing if the upcoming patch will cause crucial changes in the metagame, or if Terran will keep dominating. Other than that, all I can say is that I'm totally sticking with Protoss because + Show Spoiler + everyone knows they're gonna be totally OP when Legacy of the Void comes out, and I'm planning ahead ![]()
