In that sense its good that the best protoss in the world doesnt stand a chance against an only good terran Top 3 = 3 protosses. What do you want? Why are you complaining? Are you a korean toss in the gsl? Do you hear EU / NA terrans / zergs whining about protoss in EU and NA? Toss dominated this tournament.
You're brilliant, top 3 = 3 toss when winner is a terran ?

I wonder why every unit is weaker than it's counterpart Storm does 40 DPS EMP does 100 Stim Mauruars do 30 DPS stalkers do 14 DPS 2 tanks do over 25 DPS a more expensive collusi do 18 Vikings own all protoss air on own the line Protoss is just weaker. Best way to win is outplay flanks and tricks never direct engagement. That was MC's mistake. AHAHHA THIS IS THE FUNNIEST POST I'VE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE. marines do more damage than zerglings terran op!

Because tbh no other than MC can truely be called the sickest nerd baller! But i agree, Socke and especially Mana were probably more impressive. But on the other hand that's because you didn't expect them to do that well, while with MC, everyone was expecting him to be in the final anyway. Why would Moonglade be the sick nerd baller though? I dunno, because he actually made it through the group stage when no one expected him to. That's something I guess.

A lot of the people in this thread are commenting as if MC played perfectly and still lost. They are quick to forget about things like bad engagements, playing an econ style when you know your opponent is going to all in, losing a warp prism full of hts, getting a whole squad of ht's emp'd, separating a huge group of stalkers from the rest of your army. Ironically, whenever someone all-ins idra in a game, its usually people going on and on about how idra shouldn't drone/engage at that time. It's not fair to look at MCs mistakes in isolation. Puma in Game 1 completly failed his all in and yet was able to follow it up with another push that won the game. Completely failed, that is a big mistake, yet it didn't stop him winning the game. Game 2, Puma lost at least 3 drops for no damage AND had an expansion denied. MC lost 1 warp prism with 4 HT (a big loss) and got EMPed a few times (which is almost impossible to not have happen in PvT at that level. It's not that MC didn't make mistakes, it's that the mistakes he made were not as major as Puma yet he still got rolled every game.
This is absolutely true. MC didn't play perfectly, but neither did Puma. In top level PvT P makes one mistake and dies but it's much less punishing for the terran.

This guy went to NASL open brackets and the NASL finals and WON. He's pretty damn good. PUma deserves his bashing after what he did to TSL. that's why i don't root for him. Plus he is a boring personality. MC is so charismatic, but cocky to a fault sometimes. I didn't think he prepared for Puma today. And now Puma is in MC's head... It's going to be REALLY hard to overcome that pyschological edge Puma has over MC IMO BTW I don't dislike EG. they did what is in their best interests. I think PUMA could've handled the team transfer 100% better than he did.
TSL isn't a group of family members he plays for, it's a business and hes making his money. Once your contract is up, (if he even had one) its up and your free to go where you please. The drama was all cultural, nobody foreign actually cares lol..
As for him 1 basing twice on the series..it is what it is, moneys on the line, hes gonna do it. Don't like it? beat it. Can't? L2p.

PuMa did nothing to TSL. He received an offer, and he accepted. It was TSL coach that expressed his unhappiness regarding PuMa's decision (which is completely ok, he lost a good player what was he supposed to do) that turned into a huge useless and bullshit whine/drama fest that only got so "big" due to people who love jumping into any piece of news and creating a shitstorm.

Yep.Sure is great. People need to stop with this shit, badly. If you see ANY of those protoss openings coming a mile away, you outright win, or come ahead in a huge way. The Terran can tell the protoss at the start of the game "I'm going to build this, and then this, and then this, and I may or may not have a Raven mixed in!" and Protoss still don't know what the fuck to do.
Agreed. I don't know why people can't tell the difference between a build that has a counter and one that is impossible to counter. And even if you counter it, you can still lose...to the second wave.

Game1 Mc did a great defend vs 1-1-1 but for some reason decided to expand again instead of going for fast 1 base colossus which was a mistake imo. If he had colossus in that engagement then he would have defended that 1-1-1
Game2 Mc lost his warp prism full of HT which was a critical mistake
Game 3 I didn't understand why MC wanted to base trade instead of defending and going what he did in game 1 i.e immortals into colossus

At the end it doesn't matter how the games were won. Next week we will only remember PuMa as the IEM Champion and not the way he got there.

At least it is clear the MC is a fan favorite.

To all those people here that say 1/1/1 (why nobody calls it the "destiny cloud fist build" ? :D) is not op: Please show us a game where a protoss player has won against a well executed 1/1/1 push, so we can learn how to beat it... And in the first game puma didnt win with his first attack cause he had no banshees, second push was with banshees and resulted in an instant win despite mc having more supply

So very sad.
Makes me wonder why I watch competitive Starcraft.

Really, this thread has just reached a disgusting level.
Really, this is sub BNET forums quality now. And LOL @ all the people threatening to switch games. Good riddance.

3 zergs 4 protoss left in the GSL? Terran, Protoss, Protoss, Protoss at IEM?
Grats to Puma for outplaying MC in this series. Was a fun series. Is Terran OP? Maybe ... but this isn't proof of it ... MC isn't as good as he was, he is out of the GSL, while 4 P is still in it this season. One series isn't proof of anything.
Just give it some more time for P to figure it out ... took Z 4+ months to figure out forge fast expand, and really - only NesTea was smart enough to do it, so we could copy him.

It was even advantageous to Puma to lose the games. Its what allowed him to not play MC until the finals.
