The polish player MaNa who just qualified for the IEM Event in Guangzhou, China, will participate at the IEM Cologne as well.
He will get this chance because the chinese player LoveCD did not manage to make his way to Cologne. As well no other of the possible chinese players was able to make the travel to Germany.
MaNa will find himself in a group with the strong french Stephano, SaSe who is currently playing in Korea and one of the korean Invites.
IEM Cologne groups:
Group A: Kas, Beastyqt, IdrA, Korea (non-terran) Group B: Socke, DieStar, SeleCT, Korea (kein Terraner) Group C: Tarson, Nerchio, mOOnGLaDe, Korea (kein Zerg) Gruoup D: Stephano, SaSe, MaNa, Korea (kein Protoss)

Idra isn't T, that was in BW. Like the fact that they try to balance the races in the groups.
|
Sad not to see chinese PvZ, at least we got to see Mana! He has been on a serious roll lately

sorry tlpd always linking to BW :/

Any reason why? Chinese players seem to be cut off from the rest of the SC2 scene. It's rare to see Chinese players outside of China play in a big tournament, so I'm very disappointed...
|
Polish invasion in Cologne ^^. Groups C and D will be interesting.
And about LoveCD... i think the chinese Blizzcon qualifiers have something to do with it.
|
group d is already stacked lol

Sad no Chinese players. Will be great to see Mana as he is doing really well recently, but still.
|
Sad news, but Mana is a nice guy and good player. When are the korean invitees revealed ?

Wow, I was pretty sure that Lovecd stood a chance of ripping up the competition there... but MaNa's looking in insane condition during that Assembly run of his.

The groups look very nice, MaNa has his work cut-out for him, lets see how it goes.
Edit:
Never mind, the event in China starts until October, so nothing to worry about.

Or you could just read it right. It says it will not be the race with arleady 2 of them in the same group. So in group D. Z P P will have a Korean who is NOT a P in it.

Read it right?
IEM Cologne groups:Group A: Kas, Beastyqt, IdrA, Korea (non-terran) Group B: Socke, DieStar, SeleCT, Korea (kein Terraner) Group C: Tarson, Nerchio, mOOnGLaDe, Korea (kein Zerg) Gruoup D: Stephano, SaSe, MaNa, Korea (kein Protoss) It says the first group is non terran. I don't know what 'kein' means and I shouldn't have to on an english forum but I assumed that because the first one says non-terran and the rest say 'kein' I assume kein terran does not mean non terran.
|
|
"Kein" does mean "Non" thanks to google translate . The korean invites have been revelead, but Puma, a Terran player got put into group A, which I find weird.
|
AFAIK, Chinese qualifier is Tyloo.Jim(he is actually terren, TLPD is wrong), but he is too young to play in German, they said the player must be over 19(or 21), I dont remember. Then, Lovecd replaced him, but visa refused him again...
|
But you at least figured out Terraner means Terran in english! Good for you..
|
Wow, group A: TvTvTvZ, at least IdrA gets only one matchup to practice.
Predictions for winning group: Koreans lol
|
OMG group D
Stephano, Sase, Mana, MKP !!!!!!!!!
=DDDDDD
gogo stephano !! =)
|
Actually an amazingly stacked lineup :D. I wonder if they will move Puma to another group to prevent the Terran stacking, like that said beforehand. Can't believe MKP is going though - won't he have a GSL match the Monday after?
|
well there is no Goody so Terran stacking shouldnt be a problem

Many of the Chinese Dota teams slotted for Gamescon have also pulled out because of travel issues. Visas from China to Germany are difficult to obtain for various political reasons. Travel problems are a huge reason for why Chinese eSports is isolated.

im just glad beasty finally decided to attend big-profile lan tournament.
