Idra 1- 2 Idras attitude
he beats himself lol I think that's underplaying Minigun, Chad has beaten him pretty consistently. It was a somewhat even game when he left game 1, he left early but it's not really like he left a won game, there was still work to be done there. The second game, Minigun was actually dominating for a good while but overmade probes and had like 90 army supply which couldn't deal with late game Broods. The last game, fail scouting by IdrA. nah the first game was over. there was no chance minigun could win a base trade, and idra could have made enough units off of 3 hatch to kill his army if he wanted to. it was flat out over. if u cant see that watch it again if replays come out. game 2 wasnt domination either, minigun played terrible. overmade probes, and had an awful unit comp. third game was scouting fail. not saying minigun sucks, i love his stream. but idra beat himself in each loss no doubt. Do you realize that everytime idra loses is the same ''he beat himself'' bs? People need to stop making excuses for him. A loss is a loss, it doesn't matter if he got outplayed, or whatever. No shit a loss is a loss. That doesn't mean we can't analyze the loss. It's not excuses, it's exactly what happened. But wait, if we follow your logic, then how are people mad at Idra for gg'ing early in the 1st game if it was a loss anyway?
So, saying ''idra lost to himself'' every single time he loses a game is ''analyzing'' now?
Btw, there is a distinct difference between losing a game (aka game 3), and ''win'' a game and leave just cuzhemad (aka game 1) it kind of remembered me of tyler's challenge (you get an advantage and just leave)

I've seen 12 year olds with more self-control and maturity than this guy. lol buddy its not that serious idra feels (and a lot of z's tend to agree) that protoss doesn't need to do stupid builds like what minigun just did, because 1 spore nullifies the entire build, and then toss is so far behind. so losing to that not only pisses him off for not scouting it (which was a dumb noob mistake, i feel no sympathy for him there) but also pisses him off for minigun resorting to it. Doesn't give him any right to act like a spoilt little child. There's no denying that he's insightful and can be a good player.. but as of right now? He's not, and he's acting like a douchebag. I don't hate him at all, I enjoy watching him stream, ITG etc. but it's just embarrasing at the moment so you've NEVER told someone to fuck off, or anything of that nature? ur a saint. In a professional setting? Nope. Idra consistently does this in professional settings. And yet he still draws 20k viewers whenever he streams. If I wanted to just play Devil's Advocate, I could say that Idra has a right to be mad at Minigun. This is a broadcasted game in which many fans will watch. One could argue that going for a cheesy build is an insult to the fans, who wan't to see exciting games instead of BO/scouting losses. Just saying. DT expand isn't cheese, so your devil's advocate attempt was really poor. So a build where you are guaranteed to be behind if it fails to do damage isn't a form of cheese? You have no idea what you're talking about. DT expand is not an aggressive build unless your opponent forgets to scout properly. The majority of the time it's played as a safer, and economic expand. http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/Dark_Templar_Expand
"Should the build be scouted and properly responded to, the player will be essentially performing a low-economy version of the 3-Gate Sentry Expand."
So operating under the assumption that a lot of Toss players already think that FFE is the only way to keep up with Zerg FEs.... does a LOWER econ version of a 3 gate expo seem like it's not cheesy?

Personally, I can't see that reason holding up at all. It's a game with (eventually) a prize and pride on the line, Doing anything to win is the name of the game. I agree that it would be awesome to see amazing games from all players whenever they play, but sadly that's just not how the results business works. On the other hand, I do enjoy seeing shorter games every now and then. That was more a game of will and mind, over pure skill which I found quite interesting. Everyone has different preferences though.. and this is the internet; People will never agree! If you have the "doing anything to win mentality", then how can you look down at a person that is frustrated after his loss? Sure it's uncalled for, but the fact that 1000 people are ready to say "LOL IDRA NOOB LOL" every single time he leaves a game has gotten stupid after a while.
Doing anything to win, except stay in the game and play it out when you're behind or sometimes not even that.

To say Idra never gets outplayed is an outright lie. But it's CLEARLY evident in those games from an observer standpoint.
Idra has only himself to blame though, you guys think that I'm just sitting here having a ball defending him, but it's so frustrating being a fan of the guy then seeing him do stupid shit like this all the time. I can't help but state what I see though.
EDIT: I'm done derailing this thread now.

I'm sorry, maybe i'm missing something major here..
I can't see how telling your opponent to 'go **** yourself' is part of doing a anything to win mentality. Honestly, I don't know whether i'm having a major blackout, but that makes absolutely no sense.
On topic: Really looking forward to this 2v2, a different aspect to what we normally get to see. Predicting a 2:1 win for EG.
Edit for putting words in wrong places.. 4:30am posting ftl

That must be an incredibly unrefined version ;o
DT expand isn't low eco at all. In most cases you only make 2 DT,s and use them to shut down watch towers/tumors and additional expo's. Going DT expand also gives you a faster blink too
