:D DAoC! There was nothing quite like 8v8 or even just mass RvR keep defenses/raids or relic raid/defenses. That's before New Frontiers obviously. Although I left shortly before the expansion after Shrouded Isles came out, so the PvP I'm familiar with was changed a ton by Mythic.
Still though... I've never been able to play an MMORPG for anymore than 2 weeks thanks to how awesome DAoC was.
As far as this goes... I have no idea what's going on. It seems really odd to only have a 3v3. And even with just a 3v3 I can't really follow at all what's going on.
Now here's two people with REAL taste in mmo's, now lets put a gun to EA's head till they make a propper daoc 2
I know Soe is famous and all, but she really needs to let the co-caster talk during the games. She obviously doesn't know anything at all about this game and is frankly just making a fool of herself
YEah I think it means when they get a fear land for the full duration with no CDs available to remove it, but this makes me appreciate how good a job even the high elvel SC2 casters do of making things understandable.

There was a time where Windfury could proc windfury in early TBC, and people had like 20k life then
windfury could proc a double atk in vanilla wow (no expansions), and people had max like 5k life. Also in TBC people had like 10-12k health for pvp gear, and windfury was a totem that allowed you to have a chance to double atk. WOTLK was where you got to like 20k life.

but let's not forget, SC2 requires quite some preparation to be able to follow ingame
what is stim? what are drops? what's a natural? etc
Keep in mind that when saying drop, its not that hard. Usually we see the dropship as they say it. Usually we see them taking the natural when they say it, its much easier to get into.

Yay, good post. Id upvote if I could!
What is AJ?

kill somebody, its not that hard
Im hoping that theres more to it than that, looking at SC2 from the outside it would appear that all you do is kill the other dude but there is so much more to it than that.

Well you can see when someone is attacking and you see who's winning the battle. In WoW you have 0 idea what's happening. All you see is green bars moving and excited commentators yelling different magical spells.
I know what's happening cause I've played the game a lot but I can't imagine it being remotely fun for anyone with 0 experience playing wow to follow this mess

what does it mean to get 'feared', what is the difference between getting 'feared' and 'full feared', what does it mean when someone 'pops an amz', what is a 'blanket', what is a 'trinket' and what does it do, is it near impossible to recover if one teammate dies?
Feared is a status where your character runs around uncontrollably. Effects share diminshing returns with similar effects with seconds being the maximum. A full fear is an 8 second fear debuff because of no remaining diminishing return, also it can mean taking the full fear duration without anything breaking it.
Popping an AMZ (anti magic zone) is making a big purple sphere, an abiity usable by the Death Knight. It protects friendly units from spells.
Blanket cs (counterspell) is counter spelling to just get a silence effect up without actually trying to target a specific spell.
Trinket is an item with a long cooldown which removes all effects that prevent you from controlling/moving your character.
If one team mate dies, you pretty much have lost yes (though not guarenteed at lower levels of play it is VERY hard to come back at the top levels of play).

what does it mean to get 'feared', fear is a spell that makes you run away/not have control of your character what is the difference between getting 'feared' and 'full feared', ill assume a full fear is when you don't have abilities/items to get out of fear and it isn't under diminishing returns from overuse what does it mean when someone 'pops an amz', amulet (item) with abilities (correct?) what is a 'blanket', no idea :/ what is a 'trinket' trinkets are items that provide benefits both passive and active, when they say use a trinket obviously they mean activiated active ones. and what does it do, usually people use 1-2 main trinkets which take you out of stuns/fears/other forms of crowd control is it near impossible to recover if one teammate dies? yes, unless you're a lucky sob with mad skills and get some crazy lucky critical hits.
AMZ = Anti-Magic zone, it's the giant purple bubble that the DK Casts Blanket = Using a silence when there isn't anything to silence, so they just can't cast, but it doesn't interrupt any cast. Trinket = Breaks any CC

Obviously, but it's too hard to explain when you haven't played the game. You need to know what the abilities are etc.

Fear is a crowd control spell, you lose control of your character for a couple of seconds, a full fear runs the maximum direction of the spell (if you repeatedly fear the same person, the spell effect always lasts shorter up to the point where the spell has no effect whatsoever for a while, also known as diminishing returns). AMZ = anti magic zone, if you stand in it spells do less damage to you. The trinket is an item on a 2 min cooldown, when you use it, it instantly breaks most crowd control spells (like fear).
AMS - Anti-Magic Shell, Death Knight skill. Creates a shield that lasts 5 seconds (or 50% of the Death Knight's health, which is around 60k HP) that prevents CC and reduces incoming magic damage by 75%. AMZ - Anti-Magic Zone, Death Knight skill. Creates a big purple bubble that lasts 30 seconds that reduces spell damage to friendly members inside it by 75%. Lasts a certain amount of HP before it disappears. Fear - Warlock skill, caused by Fear, Death Coil and Howl of Terror. Forces anyone hit by it to wander around, unable to attack or cast or control their character until it wears off or they are attacked. Sheep - Polymorph, Mage skill. Turns the target into an animal, where they regenerate their HP quickly, but are unable to cast skills, attack or control their character. Breaks on damage. Hex - A polymorph-type skill, Shaman skill. Does the same thing as Polymorph except it doesn't regenerate their HP. Counterspell - Multiple spells cause this. Interrupts the current spell being cast and makes it so the person who is counterspelled cannot cast spells from that school (e.g. a Mage who has his Frostbolt counterspelled cannot cast Frost spells for a certain amount of time). Trinket - A 2-minute cooldown item that breaks any sort of crowd control (Hex, Fear, Sheep, Silence, etc.) on you.
