Not having the multitasking ability is completely different to an understanding of the race. Ret does understand zerg, he does play it the way it is meant to be played - this is not the first time this has been mentioned. Just because he doesn't win every single game does not negate this fact. | ||

Your run-of-the-mill low Code S and most Code A players aren't that good at multitasking at all. Especially the Protoss. Ret played Ganzi and MMA at MLG, and both of them had a Zerg-sniper build prepared (for DRG who has a similar playstyle), so that was pretty hopeless for him from the start. | ||

No, it was hopeless for him because he drones way too hard and gets caught by aggressive timing pushes. I think every loss of Rets I've seen has him being pushed when he doesn't expect it and having most of his larvae spent on drones. Ret plays extremely risky, it's either "I'm going to have a massive economic advantage and win or you`re going to push when I'm trying to drone and I lose". The Korean terran players play extremely aggressive against zerg (the way they should) and don't allow you to just drone up unimpeded, which was the problem for Ret. Nothing to do with the multi-tasking skill (except their micro does help to keep the units alive extra long), it's just that they don't allow zerg to sit and do as they please. | ||

I definitely see a strong argument that Sen is better though (and a very flimsy one, albeit arguable, for Dimaga). Personally I think it's 1) Sen 2) Idra 2a/3) Dimaga 4) Ret 5) Morrow And then Sheth/Nerchio/etc. a bit behind that... | ||

Anaheim scenario: Idra has by far the easiest group and gets knocked out by Nani. Ret has a much harder group and gets knocked out by Ganzi. How is that an argument in favor of Idra? IPL2 scenario: Idra played Drewbie, Minigun and moonan to get where he is. Ret played Select in the first round and Socke in the LB (and will play Fenix tonight). Again, how is Idra doing better here? His side of the bracket is basically a free ride for a player of his (alleged) level. Don't bring up bare results without mentioning the circumstances. Let me finish this off with: Ret - 2 major LAN titles in 2011. Sen - 0 Idra - 1 (only in 2010) Dimaga - 1 | ||
