Idra and Sen are way more consistent then Dimaga and Ret. Sen is pretty good, but not particularly consistent, only really did well at NASL after a long long run of unsuccessful tournaments. The only thing Idra is consistent at is mediocrity, he has been going to alot of tournaments lately and never breaking top 3 in any of them. He's been to a lot of tournaments???? WHAT. All he does is MLG and IPL. What tournaments does he go to??????? Homestory, dreamhack, every MLG? Notable performances in none of them. He won MLG DC and got 4th at MLG Columbus. DC was quite a bit ago cmon, ret won assembly last winter but that doesnt tell us about his shape now? He's the one who brought up every MLG. I think winning one is a notable performance. 4th place isn't something to sneeze at either, considering the top 3 were Koreans and this thread is talking about foreigners. not sure what to answer, so you think that to see how good a player is now we should look at all the results they had? that's nonsense currently players like dimaga and ret step it up winning in very hard competitions vs top players , if Idra does the same he can be considered again among the best no problem;) not saying he's bad by any means , just saying that right now he's not equal with other top zergs

That was just awesome, fantastic event!

And IdrA Not by recent showing, but do we have to bring IdrA up every time a zerg player wins? Come on. I don't think it's too offensive to bring up IdrA. Speaking of foreign Zergs in recent major tournaments, IdrA was the highest placing foreign Zerg at MLG Anaheim. You know things aren't working out well for someone when you start listing "highest placing X of all Y of the nationality Z in this one tournament" as an accomplishment but he actually wasn't even in top 10 of that tournament. Let's not forget Idra gets dominated by Nani and Thorzain too, so... Ret is at this very moment the best non-Korean Zerg. He would be that based on yesterday's games alone, even if he lost to Thorzain today. The level at which he plays the game is so much higher than other foreign Zergs at this moment. Nobody ever dominated Nani and Thorzain like this since their rise to the top. Nobody. MLG had koreans this tournament didn't, there is no doubt Koreans would have won this if they went. Ret went to MLG Anaheim too, but placed lower than IdrA. I don't like IdrA either but you are making a straw man. Ret and Idra pretty much had the same showing at Anaheim, except Ret got eliminated 2-1 by Ganzi (you know, the dude from SlayerS, the team who had the best minds in the game handcraft a new TvZ build). Idra got eliminated 2-0 by Naniwa. The guy who... we've just seen get completely dominated. Straw man is bringing up their final ranking while ignoring f the circumstances under which the rank was achieved. Oh god no please tell me you're trolling Are you TRYING to suggest Naniwa > Idra Ret > Naniwa Therefore Ret > Idra? I'm trying to suggest he's playing at a different level to Idra right now. I mean, that's obvious just from watching their recent games, I don't even need results as an argument. Other people are bringing up Anaheim results, so I'm just saying how it all went down. And yeah, that logic works pretty well to demonstrate the superiority of Ret's vP (Nani) and vT ( Tarson and Thorzain) too. But really - just watch the games. If you don't see it for yourself, you probably just refuse to. You do understand that there are DIFFERENT matchups right??????? just because naniwa beat idra and ret beat naniwa doesnt mean that ret can beat idra. It's a different matchup. Learn the game
If your criteria about which player is better is their direct (in this case mirror) matchup, your criteria is just wrong.
Especially if the mirror is ZvZ (or PvP). -_-

I mean yeah he won an early MLG (before koreans and europeans even attended) and that all american 16 player invite tournament.. but that's it. Winning this and assembly makes ret a bigger player in terms of accomplishment, but he's also a whole lot better just looking at performance right now. is winning really the only significant thing? How else are you gonna measure success? Losing? placing high? lol
