Terran: MVP Boxer MMA (kinda new to the scene) MKP Polt the list goes on. And these are SC2 heroes that people can look to emulate while playing sc2. Saying nothing of the BW Terrans that had ppl play terran before they switched to sc2. If YellOw shows awesome games and plays a lot then you will see more Zerg players in the K scene I am sure.
Has nothing to do with that. It's all about the perception what's the strongest race, and what gives you the most opportunity to outplay your opponent. Was stated numerous times on korean streams. That's the reason why there are so many terrans. If it's the truth or not, everyone should decide for their own.

Would having so many well performing Terrans not prdouce that image that Terran is so very good? Thats kinda what I was getting at with the heroes thing sorry if it wasn't clear. But yeah its just too bad Korea is turning into TvT land whenever I watch Gom lol

Next Monday in Ro32 I suppose. He's already in Code A.

ok thanks. But I though the tournament he won to get there only gave him a free trip to korea and an opportunity to get in code A by the qualifiers, not a code A spot right away.

Nope, GSL offers 4 code A spots for the top non-Korean (meaning players who train in Korea) MLG finisher and one Code S spot for the top non-Code-S finisher. Note that the Code S spot is worth 1,5k cash, which is half of the first place prize at the MLG, as this is the prize money you get for loosing in the first round. Add in a free trip to Korea plus free lodging it feels at least equal to the MLG first prize.

It's not too bad though. If Terrans continue to be at the top then eventually Protoss and Zerg will have a lot more practise vT than Terrans will in TvZ or TvP, meaning they will start winning again. Hopefully.
But yeah, the majority of great Korean players choose Terran for whatever reason. I think one major factor is that it's the race that allows for the most styles - macro, harass, timing attacks, drops - basically, any style Protoss or Zerg can do, Terran can do too and then some. That's not to say Terran is OP, just that, at least at the current stage and before either expansion, it is the least constricting overall.

Sase does not come by MLG. He won the Rakakat (spelling?) road to Korea tournament to get there so I dont think the mlg spots are concerning him...

A tournament with all this guys would still produce a higher quality of games compared to any foreigner-only event. The amount of talent in Korea is just ridiculous.

It's over until tomorrow. A little less than 14 hours until it starts again.

If you're gonna include Boxer, MMA, and MKP then you have to include Alicia/Puzzle for Protoss and Zenio/Coca/Losira for Zerg. You can't just pick the top player for zerg and protoss and then list a bunch of high level terrans to push your argument. Either list all the high level players of each race, or be realistic and list only the very top tier players from each race. In the latter's case it'd be
Protoss: MC
Zerg: Nestea
Terran: MVP

GOM have a case for case system when it comes to foreigners. It can be found somewhere on the gom website, but basically anyone can apply for a direct seed to code A and then gom decide wheter or not you have enough to show for it to get in, tournament wins and such. I guess Sase falls under that category. Probably his rank along with the Road to Korea win is the basis.
This was talked about before MLG partnered up with GOM, that it was very likely that foreign players having won recent big tournents would get a seed, Naniwa MLG, Thorzain TSL and so on.

It wasn't on this case. As far as I know, the prize of the tournament, a Code A spot, was decided before Sase won, that's the whole point of naming it Road to Korea. Gom made no decision regarding Sase, they made the decision of having a tournament where the winner gets the spot.
I'm not sure if the direct seeds are still valid after the partnership with MLG, making it a lot easier for foreigners to enter Code A anyway.
