Select talks with a Korean accent, knows Korean, and obviously still is a citizen of Korea. Americans definitely do not identify themselves with Select based on appearance, they prefer Sheth.

While there is an ongoing argument about how Select should be considered in terms of Korean or foreigner; i would say there is a very strong argument for him to be considered very very very different to the Koreans in terms of SC2.

Anyway - WOW that is a lot of Koreans and a lot of 2:0 victories! I really was hoping Sheth's ZvP would get him through - but oh well

Some really good players around!

Yeah, Sheth should have made it to game 3 at least. I was so convinced that he had game 2 after that gigantic supply and worker lead but then he lost.

Sorry if it was asked before, but is there a way to check out the games I missed on VODS, youtube or anything? Without HD-Pass? Or can you only check it out with an HD-Pass?

Ya select does not represent the Koreans sc2 pro training scene. He does not live in a pro house and practice 10 to 12 house a day against teammates. While i am sure he does put in his practice hours i dont think it is near as much as the "korean" pros. He is most like the foreigners in that he might put in 4-5 hours every other day on ladder and maybe a dozen or so games against teammates. He is also a student so he cant just practice sc2 all day the the korean pros do.

Just like Huk my not be as korean by blood but is more of a "korean" then seleCT because he represents that korean training regiment that makes them so successful.

I had to go to work after the sen zenio match...I'm pretty sure they only did the ro16 today not the whole grandfinals but can some1 clarify that for me? Cause the nasl website doesn't mention an upcoming schedule or when the actual grand finals are going to be cast....

That is correct. Ro8 is tomorrow, the rest is the day after.

It just seems like Koreans are able to maintain composure throughout an eentire game; right the way through to the end; almost like they understand the game on a different level :/

Even if you consider select as non-korean in terms of sc2 (which I do), he took down white-ra, so he didn't really stopped any korean wave.

doesn't matter that americans identify themselves or not with select... he represents a non-korean scene... which is a fact

So then Huk represents Korea right?

I give DarKForce credits, his performance against aLive was good.

However, if you stretch the timeline, Sen is much more accomplished in many events and much more consistent in his NASL regular season plays.

Yes he is. If Select beat HuK it's considered that a "foreigner" beat a korean, despite Huk being canadian/american and Select korean.
