He didn't. He opened 2 rax, scouted Hero's weird pylon at the gold and added 2 more rax. I wonder if he thought Hero was going to try Ninja expand there or something and took a gamble on punishing it, hence his army moving up there earlier. When Hero scouted Noblesse having added on those rax he in turn went to 3gate stargate or whatever it was. It was basically a battle of who could set up a solid contain on the other and expo behind it. | ||

Edit: Helions suck vs everything but zealots and probes hence they are not used. but if 70% of their army is chargelots with armor, why not get BF hellions? they arent a gas investment, just tech investment and then you cut marines, and marines suck vs collosus AND Chargelots. It seems like hellions would be much more worth it. | ||

There's been some movement to this, I've been seeing a lot more marauder bfhellions, mainly in the EU cups though, so don't know if it'll actually catch on. | ||

In fact they're much better than marauders for dealing with high numbers of chargelots due to the much better DPS/cost ratio to unarmored targets, assuming you aren't super behind in upgrades. It's just that it's really easy for the Toss to switch to storm which kills marines so fast. | ||
