Polt is also in the same bracket too! How does that even make sense if these brackets were seeded on ELO? Seeded top32 based on ELO and random after that oo~ Alicia, polt and mkp are 3 of the top 7 players in terms of elo though... unless you didnt weight korean vs international because korean is obviously higher. For example, mma is 2331 internationally and 2081 in korea MC 2370, 2193 Idra 2251, 2082 Top 2232, 2153 Marineking, 2225, 2100 July 2223, 2071 Ace 2274, 1940 If you took international elo as equal to korean elo thats terrible. And if you took international elo instead of korean elo thats even worse because the sample sizes for the koreans are way smaller. Theres no rational way the brackets should end up like they did. They only people above Mkp in elo in this tournament are: Polt ogsTheSTC SC Alicia Top Ryung. So how are polt alicia and mkp together? Well how would you recommend it? You can't just say International ELO is a terrible idea. Provide a solution then on how they could've done it. IMO they did the best considering how hard it is to get fair brackets. If others are unhappy with it they should do better in foreign tournaments, no?
It's silly because then you could argue that participating in minor $100 foreigner cups becomes important for seeding purposes in events like these. International ELO is a horribly designed metric because it isn't discerning at all of what events to incorporate. Honestly if the NASL doesn't want to compile some kind of different metric, they should just randomly seed the players.

For koreans use the korean elo.
For foreigners use the international elo and subtract 300 for inflation
edit: Or dont seed foreigners who dont have korean elo's because they really arent better than the koreans at all.

As fair as this might actually be, the whining from foreigners about this would probably nuke the forum. Might as well just randomly seed.

Anyone know why the Chinese players haven't entered this btw?

I think players should be seeded based on how attractive they are.

But the GSL Koreans would be seeded highest because of the awesome GSL Makeup people .

This sounds fair but we will have soo many foreign players whining about it on TL, especially the "second tier" NA players who have always been vocal about keeping the tournaments local.
Edit: lol did not read the whole thread, seems someone already expressed my opinion.

IF and thats a big IF Goody can somehow get past Fruitdealer he has a solid Chance of getting in again. I don't know anyone he could meet in RO32 then he'll probably meet Supernova and after that probably sC. Goody has the most anoying TvT-playstyle known to man-kind and TvT is by far his best MU. And considering he has a small connection advantage over Koreans he could do it .
Not sure if the Koreans are ready for long drawn-out TvT-Series against the "Panzergeneral".

The awesome one from lore or the erratic one that flames out of the ro32 in gsl

So, why are you lying to us? It is clear that that isn't the case. Please show us the list of top 32 players you used for seeding.

Goody doesn't play TvT. He plays GvT. He's a race upon himself. He uses mech in every single matchup and has been doing it forever. He knows his mech.

Sitting back , with solid defense slowly building up a big tank force while constantly harrasing with Blueflame Helions everywhere and slowly working towards a split Map with Turrets and 3-3 Mech / Vikings if needed. Goody isn't going to attack you unless he knows he'll win for sure.but it's pretty hard next to impossible to attack him as well. He basically will wait for his opponent to make a mistake. He's known for hour long TvT Games where Maps are basically mined out and no major engagements happen for ages. Goody's not going to blink first he'll patiently wait for his opponent to make a move and then capitalize on his mistakes.

Not even joking.

If you actually look, Goody is the number 1 seed, and Nerchio is the number 2 Seed. Now look at TLPD.
