Some of the Games he played at Dreamhack Groupstages are pretty epic. Replays should be available on the Dreamhack HP. Don't know what tournament it was but i remember a games vs Sarens that went for like 1,5 hours untill Sarens lost his cool and basically suidcided into Goody's tankline.

Korean's have to play at 2am? What?

Why wouldn't they start it a couple of hours earlier? Then the times are reasonable for everyone...unless you live in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

I think it's legit. It's just that binarybeast automatic seeding places seeded players in different places than we normally have come to expect from the millions of online sc2 cups.

That seeding makes about zero sense. The games get progressively easier from 1st seed up until 16th seed.

Sitting back , with solid defense slowly building up a big tank force while constantly harrasing with Blueflame Helions everywhere and slowly working towards a split Map with Turrets and 3-3 Mech / Vikings if needed. Goody isn't going to attack you unless he knows he'll win for sure.but it's pretty hard next to impossible to attack him as well. He basically will wait for his opponent to make a mistake. He's known for hour long TvT Games where Maps are basically mined out and no major engagements happen for ages. Goody's not going to blink first he'll patiently wait for his opponent to make a move and then capitalize on his mistakes.

While I haven't watched nearly as much of Goody's TvT as I would have liked, his TvZ series against Nestea in TSL3 was friggen unbelievable and the final game of that series is one of the few that I've watched more than three times:

But yeah he's a really fun player to watch especially if you get tired of seeing terran bioballs.
I root for Euro Zergs, NA Protoss* and Korean Terrans. (Any North American who has beat a Korean Pro as Protoss counts as NA Toss)

Using the Korean ELO for an international tournament (and arbitrarily deducting numbers from the International ELO to make it "even") is one of the dumbest thing I've recently heard.


Xeris obviously did the right thing by using the International ELO. It rewards the Korean players who have participated in previous international tournaments.

lol the seeding doesn't guarantee that the "best" players don't run into each other until the end, considering "best" is arbitrary.

Serena Williams may be the best female Tennis Player but she's unranked because she hasn't been playing on the WTA (or any tennis for that matter). Xeris appropriately used a system designed for international play and stuck with it.

I think an alternative would have been to combine International/Korean ELOs with no inflation deduction, that's just too arbitrary. But I'm okay with the system used.

Some people really just like to complain.

oh, no; some great players instead of the the alleged absolute best players will qualify. this is inhumane.

the people who win with what they're given will qualify. such is life.

There seems to be different seeding options. This is a 16 player example of "traditional seeding".

Agreed, even with the lag, most korean are still superior to the foreign counterparts. NASL just keeps on disappointing me.

An international tournament is seeded by international ELO. Who would have thought that? Some people just complain to complain.

If you want to be upset with someone be upset with the Koreans who have not been participating in more online/offline international tournaments. They're the only one to blame for their low international ELO.
