Looks like fun, signing up to fill a spot :D
Awesome! Wish I could go but I'm going to be busy on Sunday. Well, I'd be knocked out on Saturday anyway, so I guess that wouldn't matter so much
The entry fee is set. The prize pool is set but may grow through the week.
Emailed, this looks like a fun event!
FXOmOOnGLaDe will be at DAY TWO playing show matches against the tournament winner! This means he will not be participating in the competitive part of the event.
hope its a success, im from bris but im only a platinum player. also i wont be here during those dates. but if there's another one let me know!
PS: Thynar will easily clean this up like a mop cleaning a sodden floor, with the sodden floor being the other scum players brisbane has!
Over half of the positions in the tournament have now been occupied. Time is running out for any players in Brisbane who haven't signed up yet and want to participate!
Gosh, I would love to participate but unfortunately I have my last exam on the same day at 11AM and I am not sure if I can make it till 1PM...
I'm only dia but this might be fun, to see moonglade at least. Anyone know what their deal is for comps and the mouse/keyboards situation?

Elysium Internet Cafe has all equipment necessary but you may bring your own headset, mouse and keyboard.
Signed up, would it be possible to post the number of spots filled on TL? :D
Only five positions left in the B.E.S.T.! 27 of 32 filled, sign up quickly if you plan on joining!
I wish i lived in Queensland T.T

Just a question. Why host it on the SEA server? The latency on the east cost is usually better when using the NA server and everyone with an SEA account has access to the NA server anyway.

I wont get into detail and I'm not a professional so don't hold me to it but I believe it depends on the ISP.
In any event, it is too late to change it now that the sign-ups have started but if I organise another tournament I'll make sure to test latency on SEA and NA at the venue to see which is better. Good point to bring up Hunted, thanks.

Looks cool. good to see more events in Brisbane. :D

I thought it was the other way round, what with Optus being a Singaporean company and all.

I get great sea ping with iinet and I know people with telstra with similar. Everyone I know with optus or tpg complains about sea latency
tpg has better latency to NA than SEA
So pumped! Even though I'm doubtful I'll even stand a chance against most players, I'm still so excited. Thank you for organizing this; Brisbane needs a bigger eSports scene.
Ok well I've signed up, hopefully not too late :b Will be good to see other people in Brisbane who actually play starcraft haha
I have had a lot of sign-ups in a short amount of time and if the current sign-up rate keeps up the tournament size could be extended to 64 players.
I note that in the event 64 players show up at the tournament and participate, the prize pool would most likely jump up another $200. If you have already signed up, tell your friends in Brisbane and help sky-rocket this tournament!
How many more spots available? What is the skill level required to enter? I might come to support QLD's SC2 scene (:
The first 32 slots are full but if enough sign-ups are received the player limit will be upgraded to 64.
There are no rank restrictions on sign-ups.
Hey Slayar, any chance you could post the list of players as it stands? If it jumps to 64 man obviously this will change but it would be interesting to see whos going (P.S. if the round robin groups exist, seeing those would also be boss ) cheers either way
FXOmOOnGLaDe has advised me he will no longer be attending the tournament for show-matches.

The tournament is full unless the player cap is upgraded to 64, but I would appreciate it if you would signup anyway so I can quote higher numbers to potential sponsors while organizing future tourneys
hmm, I'd sent you an email back on the 9th but notice I'm not on the player list - didn't make the cut or something :|? Was well before signups were full.

The preliminaries have been amended above.

I Presume the $10 covers all computer usage costs? Just like to make sure, thats all.
The $10 covers everything you will need to participate in the tournament. Extra charges may be incurred by the venue if you damage its equipment.
Damn i wish i lived in Brisbane. Best of luck with the tourny!

Due to unforseen events games will not be live-streamed unless further notice is given. Replays will be recorded and casted in the near future.
A replay pack and possibly VODs will be released in the near future. This could take a few weeks as I am currently experiencing technical difficulties (power supply died). Please send me any feedback regarding the tournament by posting in a tournament thread or by email at BESTsignups@gmail.com.
