Okay we're going to start cracking down on people bashing players for no reason. You don't have to like every player, but at least show some respect. (as of page 402)

Exactly
Some foreigners do play Sc2 as a living though...
Some...and not nearly enough to create a competitive practice environment where players get weeded out easily. The fact code A is so competitive makes it so you have to practice your heart out so you can make it through there into code S. The rest of the world has so many tournaments it's usually very difficult to have a tourney that has amazing depth top to bottom because top players aren't always together like a MLG.
And the ones that do live in team houses like Idra..is he really going to get a lot of practice by playing his fellow EG members? I'm sorry, but his teammates are not on his level..I think a super team made up of foreigners needs to be created and then move into a house. On so many teams, there are just like 1 or 2 great players and the rest just 'meh'
or we could keep it as is and have the really good players practice with the meh players until they are really good too. i want foreigners to beat the koreans just as much as anyone, but creating some super team for the sole purpose of competing with the koreans is kind of a lame idea.

Its really not halo's pretty much at the level of bw with the level of mechanics at the top.
I'm not exactly an expert in halo or anything but from the very little I watched it's one of the slowest FPS's I've ever seen.
Ever play counter-strike lol? Halo is on steroids compared to CS
Other then seting up the strat, its a really fast pace game? where people die almost instantly and 1 guy can ace a team in under 5 seconds?
after what like 5 10 minutes of them jsut moving around hideing behind walls throwing random nades they hope for luck wins? name any moment ever in halo when things arn't happening?
5-10 mins totally....and your confused halo has random nades...any nades at the start of a entry in cs are planned to hit a certain spot. your last point different in halo when death has no penalty. halo is the wow of fpss
death has no penalty when your not playing and your team is a man down defending the flag or dieing for giveing your opponent another point in a slayer match?
Its really not halo's pretty much at the level of bw with the level of mechanics at the top.
level of bw mechanics? someone call the doctor!
LOLOLOL troll or insane?
I facepalmed so hard. Same level as BW? Someone hasn't ever played BW.
Halo is one of the slower shooters around. And do not even get me started on the multitasking differences between the two.
He could kinda have an argument with CS 1.6 or something... The calibre of players at the top was insane but... Halo? Sorry no dice.
Even then i'd say BW is harder. Infact the more i think about it, way harder.
I agree with you entirely, yes.
1.6 had some insane players. I remember when fatal1ty joined a pro counter strike team and was removed because, well he just could not stop shooting his own team mates.
i was about to laugh when you brought up fatal1ty in cs until i read the rest (tehn again zet had a nasty habbit of killing his team in css )
So what? Any CS playered get's demolished in Unreal Tournament or Quake...
Not really. Tournament earnings between Counter Strike and those games are incongruent.
Can you guys take this conversation elsewhere please?

see, when you say this it just shows that you know absolutely fucking nothing about CS. Round time is 1:20 (CPL, anyway). If you ever got out of playing on pubs, you would know this

Yup, it's coldhearted...but in pro sports you simply cut players that aren't good enough and scout for/pay to sign on better ones and develop them if they're still rough around the edges but talented. This sounds horrible but it may need to be more cutthroat to compete with Korea.
Wait a second so not only was it the wrong map but QxC wasnt suppose to even be playing TLO. Well thats kinda odd but I guess its really really good that they stopped them.

of course they do, but fatal1ty seemed to push himself into other games pretending to be the next best player in that scene
he pretty much went into every new fucking fps that got released for several years back then
CS is a game that is so much different from most FPS, you cannot start playing and instantly become good like you can in a lot of them, it takes so much practice because the recoil is so hard

1.6 is still to me the greatest esport of all time. so many great tournaments and teams. starcraft is really awesome, but 5v5 cs in its prime with teams like sk, 3d, col, noa was simply insane.
