Protip, Tournament organizers, don't stretch your shit over the entire summer. People are travelling and partying, it's extremely easy to forget a match and be knocked out. Especially if you're going to have a qualifying stage for the qualifier for the qualifying stage (yes, that's right), let me play 7 bo3s in one day please? It would have only taken 3 hours tops, which is far less than what TL open usually takes. Admins are top notch though, awesome guys :O

If you missed a match, then you kind of deserve to not move on. If you cared enough about it in the first place you would have marked it somewhere so you could make it. it's different for those people who were traveling and such, but you knew what dates you'd be traveling on (most likely), so you could have tried to reschedule. Sometimes there are sacrifices you have to make, sometimes there are not. It's hard to organize an event that has over 10,000 participants (like, the scale is ridiculous in its own right). Those who showed up should be rewarded for their time, those who showed up and won should be rewarded for their skill. Anyway, that part of the tournament is now over, and there isn't much that can be done about it. This next part to the qualifier should be a lot more of a challenge, but there are more opportunities to prove yourself. c: c: c:

If you missed a match, then you kind of deserve to not move on. So, I should be punished because my ISP decided to have their first issue of the year on a match day?

I worked to get top 2 in my group and now I don't advance because I have 1 FFL. Seriously, why don't they just disqualify you right away. I practiced for a few hours to win my last match and to clench 2nd place and now I don't qualify because I was an hour late for my match. Good tourney.

The whole point of the complaint was, you have a less chance of advancing beyond the qualifers phase, because many people had fewer wins because of the removed people in the group due to inactivity, so basically 99% of the group had people with 7 wins, and people with 6 wins or 5 wins without any losses. Anyways, this was fixed as CEVO admins clarified that the record from preliminary phase will be cleared and won't be carried over.

Kind of made me wonder if there were some groups with only one player who showed up for games or something.
