Dates for IPL Season 2 Qualifiers
Qualifier #4: May 28-29 starting each day at 10:30 AM PDT / 1:30 PM EDT / 7:30 PM CEST (Top 4 advance to Main Event)
HOW DO I SIGN UP?
1) Go to http://www.z33k.com
2) Register an account
3) Click on 'Profile'
4) Click on 'Account'
5) Fill out your NORTH AMERICAN SERVER BNet Character Name, Character Code, and Race, then put in the League that you are highest ranked at (ex. you're masters on NA and grandmasters on EU, put grandmasters) and MAKE SURE TO COPY/PASTE YOUR NORTH AMERICAN BATTLE.NET PROFILE URL into the designated space
6) Either find the first qualifier tournament on the website or go to this link: http://www.z33k.com/starcraft2/tournaments/939-ign-pro-league-season-two-qualifier-4
7) Click 'Sign me up!'
8) Join the IPL group for automatic notifications of when Qualifier 4 comes online.
9) Remember to check back in one hour before start time to check in and secure your spot. If you do not check in your spot will be forfeited!
Restrictions
• Player must be in a Master or Grand Master league on the North American, South American or European ladder to participate and LIVE in one of those regions.
• All games must be played on the North American server for both the qualifier and the main event.
• Account sharing is not allowed, players must own a North American account.
• By signing up for the qualifiers, it is agreed that the player will be available on the following dates leading up to the main event of the tournament (in the event that the player is eligible):
On June 11th we will do WR 1, WR 2 and LR 1, LR 2
On June 12th we will do WR 3, WR 4 and LR 3, LR 4, LR 5
On June 18th we will do WR Finals and LR 6, LR 7
On June 19th we will do LR Finals and Grand Finals
If you will be at Dreamhack or GSL Super Tournament we will work with you to play your games early! No exceptions will be tolerated for the scheduled dates unless you have a seriously urgent issue. If a player wins a qualifying spot and fails to be present for the tournament, IGN reserves the right to find the next highest finisher from the qualifier as a replacement. The penalty for a qualifier no show is a two season ban for future IPL qualifiers.
Seeding
The top 4 finishers from IPL 1 receive seeds 1 through 4 in order of their finishes. The place awarded to the player in the qualifiers will determine the seed for the IPL 2 Main Event, descending from seed 5, in order of qualifier. For example, if a player were to finish first in the first qualifier, he will receive the overall seed of 5. If a player finished first in the second qualifier, he would receive the overall seed of 6.

I think for futue events it would be really nice to award seeding points in the qualifiers as you go:
Qualifier 1 could still be as it is now if you don't want to seed from past events.
Then award points based on performance in #1 to help seed #2. From #1 and #2 to help seed #3 etc.
There's just been a few too many occasions for my taste where several great players end up in the same bracket segment, while some much lower calibre players end up in another, and as a result the level of qualified players is fluctuating a bit more than one might hope.

Just use common sense.
Also, keep in mind, we're only taking the top 4 from this event, so it will be a lot of crazy matchups, regardless if they get them in round 1 or round 5.

Wow Hasu is out already, hope Grubby can capitalize. I wanted to say this since long ago but didn't: congratulations to alex for the way he promotes this event and for the respect he shows the comunity. I wish all tournament organizers would make their threads as good as his.

We'll probably just cast the RO 16 and on this week, as the results hider isn't worker properly, and only the top 4 qualify anyways!

Argh... tyler is in a harder side (IMO). Hope he does well and show off his amazing double forge PvT style. When are these actually played? if its not too long ago we can see how hard Tyler has been preparing for his MLG group (with select and Bomber)

A bit of critique, i have to say i find your qualifying procedure really confusing.
without reading TL you wouldn't have any idea on who is where in the qualifiers, and which qualifier was played when, and so on.
You just have some seemingly random casts.
I prefered the TSL qualifier style with an open qualifier (like you do iirc) with everything open for any caster, and then semis and finals casted from replays...but on the same afternoon!
Your style really really confuses me

I think the biggest problem here is that there are way too many threads.
There is an IPL2 thread, one for each qualifier, and each playday of each qualifier. The information about each is spread out between all of them and so unless you're actively following and paying attention to each day and every thread it is next to impossible to keep up.
Worst of all there are no full brackets. z33k brackets end in 6th round and never get updated beyond that even when the results are known.

It's problematic that you can't just go to an IPL website and see a clean, full list of who has or has not qualified yet, etc.
Pretty troublesome to track all that information down in all of the different threads.

This is all legit concerns and I appreciate the feedback. The main issue right now is I didn't make it clear which thread should be the go-to thread for information, which should probably be the main season thread.
About our website, we're in a process of a complete overhaul of the site, which is delaying pushing new content. We're trying to get more information pushed out today on the site as well.
About the brackets, the first brackets wasn't played on z33k past the 6th round, as that was before we had hidden brackets. The rest should be up to date though!

So, err, maybe I'm stupid, but, where should I look for all the info on this tournament? Care to link? Updated brackets (the one on z33k isn't updated)?
Also, where can I find out who's playing today on the IGN Pro League, season 2, qualifier 4, day 4 (slightly complicated aswell).

one more thing: if u had a jpeg or something from the brackets and update it after he cast, not only the first games (ro32). This might confuse people, cause u say in op there are 4 "groups" of 8 players fighting for one spot each. how it came to finals? what was the patch that each player had to take till finals?
so the brackets in a pic or some would be really really awesome

Last night it was announced by the caster (sorry don't know his name) that their would be 2 casting duos for IPL2. Is there any more information available or will you wait until a specific date?

I remember reading somewhere (probably TL) they they have hired some new casters. But they won't announce anything until the contracts are finalized.
