I wonder how sponsors feel about eSports? "Oh hey this game seems promising, no wait, this is clearly a joke, these casters are incredibly immature thus the players must be as such. I'll let my product be represented by something else instead."
I wonder how if LiquidTyler went on air and talked about crabs. I wonder how fast Stride gum would drop him?
You are responsible for your actions, even if you aren't old enough to realize that yet. Do you know that Tyler said something along the lines of, If you don't give a shit about what gum you chew, then pick Stride? And guess what? Stride didn't drop him. I fail to see how that hurts Strike in any way. Logically speaking that's a direct promotion.
Its pretty much a false promotion. Its showing that he doesn't give a shit about the product and just wants their money. It is far more harmful than anything Gretorp has said. Listen to any NFL game. And I mean listen to what the announcers are saying. Its filled with innuendos. Its quite hilarious. And they completely know what they are saying.
You don't really know how the real world works, do you?

Just looking at that picture killed the small part of esports that resides in my brain.

Gretorp has one of the greatest positions North American eSports has to offer: casting in the first ever NASL. NASL is the first of its kind in North America; a prestigious league with the largest prize pool SC2 has been offered here. Future potential sponsors and newcomers alike have their eyes set on this event. How many sponsors have already been deterred by such erratic behavior as set forth by the presentation of the casters?
As cliche as it sounds, with power comes responsibility. Gretorp represents NASL as a caster. It's a powerful position granted towards an individual.
It's obvious Gretorp is trying really hard. And I'm not saying joking isn't allowed. But there are some obvious things you cannot and should not talk about on air. The things you do and say as a representative have rippling effects beyond your control.
How many potential sponsors have we lost? How many potential viewers turned away in disgust? How would Europe and Asia feel about such immaturity in a STAR League? If a star league carries itself out in such an inappropriate manner what example does this set for the rest?

God why do people fucking complain so much about every little thing, esports is already ridiculously huge, and its just a niche market, you people act like its a super professional nationally televised event or something when its really a bunch of us gamers just chillin and watching some good games. I agree there are some things that shouldn't be said like hardcore swearing etc, but is it really that big a deal?

Are you making these posts about Artosis and Tasteless too? Cause personally, I find them enjoyable, but quite a bit of the stuff that comes out of their mouths could be seen equally in such a light.
Seems more like I have a personal grudge against Gretorp cause he doesn't fill a special place in your heart.

Lol.
Think about it. "Yeah, that product I endorese? Fuckit, use it if you have to use something like it, but I don't really care ¯\_(ツ)_/¯." That's not exactly like Michael Jordan flaunting a pair of briefs with the intent of selling them. It's sort of like ragging on your own sponsorship - that was the point of the post. Not sure how you don't see it that way

How can a potential viewer turn away? How many real viewers? None.

I don't know, I don't think Europe and Asia are two individuals, nor could I sum up an entire country's reaction to an event, but I'd guess they wouldn't give a merry fark.

You are right on this point, I'm sure this has had a massive impact on all the people involved in all the more established leagues. I have it on good authority that they loosely base their lives around gretorps teachings, and they will immediately roll out the unintentional STD double entendre into all corporate policy going forward.

I'm starting to hate esports because so many people want to 'HELP GROW ESPORTS!!!!' Seriously stop that.

Last time i checked both Europe and Asia were continents not countries.

Hey, looks like my opinion is interesting and useful here! I am european, and i can in fact confirm that i don't care, at all. I can also positively confirm that the image of your country has not suffered any damage. At least with me. I obviously can't speak for every other european.
But since i don't know if the official european president of europe has given an official european statement of approval or disgust, i probably should stop talking before i fall out of line in case she does so.
